Haven't seen it yet here in Gainesville...

 

Been keeping my eye out in the Brandon/Tampa area. Nothing yet.

Does this happen usually? Releasing before black Friday?

Obviously, because of Turkey Day, deliveries are made before Thursday. The delivery schedules are also upset because of the holiday, and BCBS can get dropped a week or so before Black Friday. Can the retailers sell early? Yep, happens all the time. Perhaps at a premium price. It's a gray area. Walk softly, it's a wink-wink, nudge-nudge transaction. I still can't believe the behavior over beer. But, I participate, too. Not proudly, I should add, but, hey, it's BCBS. Cheers!

 

Does Total Wine in South FL usually have it on black Friday?

 

having had the Coffee and the 14.3abv version of BCBS (apparently there are 2 different abvs this year like the past couple years) this past weekend I'm not going out of my way for any BCBS this year. the coffee was easily the worst one they've released over the past 5 years (at least in bottles) and the reg, meh; not as boozy fresh compared to other years but seems thinner and more oakey

 

Next you're gonna tell us it will be too cold , don't go early .
I won't go out of my way . Will hit the same 2 places I went last year here in Tidewater . Should be able to walk right in and grab it at the first place and maybe a short wait at the second one .

 

haha, won't even be in Virginia that day so I have no idea what the weather will be like maybe @ThatCracker knows?

 

The total wines are on it this year I guess.
Guy at one of the tidewater locations said he has bcbs in but isn't releasing until Friday. Which I realize is what they are supposed to do, haha, but last year several local locations sold bottles a day or two early.

 

@ncaudle Cold, stay inside! Looks like we are getting hosed again this year. If I stop in and there are some available that's fine, but I'm not waiting outside before they open to grab any. (Be there at 6am)

 

Anyone know what the price is going to be? One store told me today that they were told that they have to sell it at $14.99/btl, which seems WAY too high though. $10-$12 would be much more reasonable. And $14.99 was for BCBS, not a variant.

Mix it up in VA beach posted 13 cases gone in 20 mins. Guess they just threw up a Facebook post to call & reserve with no limits tonight. Kind of odd, too bad they didn't give more people a shot at a few bottles.
