Does anyone know what new goose island release labels received approval before the TTB shut down. Could BCBS be delayed? I know I saw the coffee and barleywine labels at some point, but those may have been the submissions.

Why do people constantly put up speculation posts with titles that absolutely scare the crap out of me??

They may not need a new COLA - lots of changes are allowed without a new application:
TTB - Allowable Changes to Approved Labels
...which includes, under "Malt Beverages", changes like:

They'll still be able to release their regular bcbs and bcbcs unless the ttb cares about the year needing to be changed.

If they haven't gotten label approval for the other stuff they are kinda fucked. Tough times for breweries about to approve beers for distribution...

The ABV most likely will change, which WOULD require label approval.

It has gone several years without a change in ABV in the past, I would not say that a change in ABV is a sure thing.

I talked to a super high end GI employee/brewer...cause I know everyone and everyone knows me...and that person told me "It will be released when it is ready."

    True story

    It was 11%.
    2007-2010 was 13%.
    2011 was 14.5%
    2012 was 15%.

As they've been brewing bigger batches, the ABV has varied more. Since they're brewing larger batches, barrel aging them, and then blending barrels before bottling, the ABV will vary year to year. Some years a high numbers could have higher ABVs, pushing up the overall ABV and some years it could be lower.

Pappy barrels take longer to empty than normal ones. This delay is to be expected.

Not a sure thing, but they have bumped the ABV in each of the past 3 vintages. I think 2009 and 2010 were both 13%, 2011 was 14.5%, and 2012 was 15%.

I am aware of previous ABVs and recent trends, I am also aware of the uncertainties in the brewing process. We are dealing with a small sample size the recent changes in volume and abv bumps. GI has the resources to stabilize the abv at any point if the so choose, I do not think that should be overlooked.

The ABV could very well change again, I would not be surprised if it does, I simply am not ready to claim its a certainty yet.
