I don't know about any city tappings off-hand, but beermenus.com is your friend.

For sure! Also, I know Lakeshore beverage has been tweeting out some of the bigger tapping events, so maybe check their feed?

    ATTENTION ALL ANGRY BEER PEOPLE!!!!!!!

I'm about to let you enter the mind of someone running a Black Friday event.

I run a beer store and craft beer bar in Chicago ..... AB/Inbev/Goose Island had a drastically smaller allocation of BCS than last year. HOW DO I KNOW?!?!? BECAUSE I KNOW UPPER MANAGEMENT AT AB/GOOSE/LAKESHORE!!!!! Jewel, Binny's, Whole Foods, bars, bottle shops received small allocations!

ANOTHER THING!! Believe me when I tell all of you that I really wish I could tell all of you kind, thankful, wonderful people my allocation of RARE BEER! Unfortunately for large corporations such as Whole Foods, Jewel, Binny's, Costco, Target etc. IT IS AGAINST COMPANY POLICY!!!!!!!
What?!? Why would such a policy exist?!?!?!? Here is the scenario...

HI my name is Trump and I run the beer department at Jewel. I come outside and see a giant line of people outside my store in the morning on black friday... I count 150 people in line. I go up to person 24 in line and tell them that they will be the last person to get a full allocation. I then tell the rest of the line that they will not get an allocation. You figure out that person is #24 in line... that must mean they only have 2 cases of Rare Knob etc..!?!? Everyone else in line get's angry and then posts my allocation Beer Advocate/FB/Twitter. Binny's then see's that info and thinks...Jewel down the street got 2 cases!?!?!? WTF? Binny's then goes and calls GI/Distributor and says HOW DID THEY GET 2 CASES WHEN I ONLY GOT 2 CASES!? My sales at Binny's are so much better! Binny's then proceeds to use that allocation info they got from people waiting in line to their benefit when making sale programs, deals, allocations in the future! They will tell GI that they wont put them on sale for 3 months if they ever get the same allocation as jewel again! Next year my Jewel then get's 1 less case than last year bc Binny's is well Binnys.

When fighting starts between on-prem/off-prem accounts and distrubutors over allocated beer, it ALWAYS results in allocations getting smaller for somebody. By Jewel, Binnys, Whole Foods NOT telling you their allocations, they are actually looking out for you in the long term! We are legitimately sorry to anger all of you people that wait in that chilly weather for beer. Everyone who works at Whole Foods, Binny's, Jewel tries really hard to get the best allocation they can for you.

    ALRIGHT EVERYONE GET EXCITED!!!!

    HOP BUTCHER/WELDWERKS COLLAB!?!?!?
    STAY GOLD RUN THE JEWELS!?!?
    BIG HUGS!?!?
    ASSASSIN!!!!!!!!
    Lou Pepe!!!!
    AND BEST OF ALL
WOOT WOOT CBS IS THIS WEEK!!!! HAPPY HUNTING LADIES!!!!!!

What, are we helping people on BA find beer now? EVERY MAN FOR THEMSELVES!

    Kidding.

And yeah, I think Lakeshore should have that info up; I received an email with some of the event listings. Looks like LP Binnys, WF, etc. will be having tappings.

For sure, I went there because Beer Menus said there was Reserve there. Got to the store to see only reg and barleywine. I don't really frequent that place as I live in Mokena. My office is close so I figured I'd stop in to see if he had some. I laughed at $16.99 barleywine.

Let me first say that I in noway truck chased yesterday. I did however go to a local place that I know that gets their BCBS on the Tuesday after BF. When I arrived, the truck was unloading. NO Reserve and no Prop. I asked the driver what the deal was or if he had any on the truck going somewhere else and he said that he hasn't delivered any Prop this year in the SW suburbs. That's crazy....Prop Day and Binny's are killing the little guys and their customers.

Anyone hear info on Whole Foods allocations by store? LP I'm assuming gets the most variants, new location in LV I'd imagine will be solid too?

Not surprising, given the whole "sell X other GI/ABInBev beer or you don't get BCS" thing.

Yeah, but there aren't any in the SW suburbs.

Don't put on the label "for our hometown" and then sell it to everyone from out of state . Simple solution- don't release this on the Black Friday weekend when residents go out of town and non-locals come into town or just have it all go through Prop Day... I'm not driving out of state to sit at a beer release for hours, why would I want to do that in state? It would be nice if the brewery I've supported as a local for over two decades returned the favor....

You live in a metropolitan area of over 9 million people. If you want the sort of 1 on 1 relationship you're describing here, I'd recommend relocation.

I didn't realize 9 million people from Chicago line up for BCBS on Black Friday....

I'm going to make it a point to continue to come to Chicago every year for Bourbon County just to spite people like you.

Just walked out of Binny's Lincoln Park. Floor stack of at least 20 cases of regular and half a dozen cases of BW off to that little area to the left of the entrance. Limit 5. I guess a lot of people waited in line for twelve hours just to pass on regular and BW.

I didn't buy any, but was thrilled to see the five cases of Tweak sitting there with no limit.

Alright, let's get this back on a positive track.

I didn't follow BCS announcements super closely, so I was surprised Double barrel didn't make it into a bottle--Was that mostly a FoBaB/Black Friday special, or do people think it'll keep popping up?

It was announced as draft-only. I don't think anything was said about the quantity they made but my assumption is it wasn't a lot.
