"for our hometown" do they say its for the hometown beer drinkers or is it for the hometown liquor stores. Maybe its for the hometown businesses that get the out of towner to pick up a few beers and hit the hometown stores. I think a lot of people understand this is whats going to happen for a great product. Odds are if people are on this forum they probably drank a beer from outside there "hometown". So if they don't get there "hometown" beer they don't want it bad enough. Especially if it as easy as to stand in line and hope you don't get skipped. When your fighting with the whole country online or a lottery. Standing inline doesn't seem that bad when it's your "hometown" beer.

I’ve heard multiple reports of ‘15 reg being awesome right now.....time to throw one in the fridge and find out for myself!

All true. The last two '15 regs I've shared with friends have been nothing short of impressive. Glad only part of my purchases that year were bad lots.

Had a 13 coffee a couple months ago and the whole group thought it was amazing. I was surprised because I usually think the same thing. I remember having a 12 after the cubs won the world series and it was pretty bad.

Regular in stock at the Melrose Park Costco as of an hour ago. About 8 cases left at $8.89/per bottle.

13 Coffee is my personal favorite batch. Just a coffee bomb which I get why others would want balance, but it was amazing fresh.

Check jewel. I know the one on stage and grand still has 10 cases or so as of this afternoon.

Damnit. I almost stopped in after passing on northwoods at the other spot.

    Preach. Totally with you.

I just cracked a ‘14 though, and the coffee is almost non existent. Defiantly going to trade them for fresh ones.

Had a 2014 BCBCS on Thanksgiving and it might have been the best BA coffee stout I’ve ever had. It was awesome.

Three of us has 2016 Coffee at Fatpour on Black Friday. I ordered a second one when they had 15 other BCBS options to pick from if that says anything. My friends dug it too.

I had similar sentiments. I had multiple BCBCS '13 over the last year and thought they tasted phenomenal. It's my favorite year for BCBCS. But the BCBCS '12 I had last year definitely dropped off, although it was still good. Just had little semblance of coffee.

I've been going to Seattle on business for years & the scene is very anti ABI & they don't really make exceptions for BCS like we seem to in the Midwest.

hope you made it to Fremont to pick up some fresh B-bomb & KDS coffee!

Thanks for the tips today guys. I checked 3 random Jewels (though not State and Grand) but they were out, for now anyway but given the strange distribution this year I just don't want to take any chances that I'll luck into something later.

Park West does still have a couple cases of BW and 6 or so cases of Regular sitting out on the floor. As others of said, a few dollars more than Binny's but if you're only grabbing a couple bottles it's not so bad compared to other places in past years. Although the guy I talked to denied ever getting any other variants (maybe because I'm not a regular?), so I passed just on principle.

Armenetti's at Grand and Western had 3 cases of Regular out on the floor, much more personable staff, and a solid selection of other stuff. It's a straight shot down Western for me and not really all that far; I'll try and start stopping there more regularly. I grabbed what I needed/wanted (basically, enough to feel comfortable cracking 2-3 bottles next October to motivate myself for black friday). Prices were very fair with BCBS at 10.99. Even if that happens to be it for me this year then I'll consider myself fortunate.

A beer simply being available hardly means nobody wants it... It was released less than a week ago. Zero chance it makes it through the holidays.
