It's on the brewpubs twitter page. They don't explain what it is, but in years past they have added candy canes to the bourbon barrel stouts at Clybourn for the holiday. If they aren't doing Candy Cane Impervious, then maybe they are taking advantage of their recent access to BCBS by screwing that up. If that is the case, why rush out for it when you can make it at home?

Anyone see any regular BCS lately at the following Jewel locations: Foster and Pulaski, Addison and Elston and/or Irving and Cicero? Thanks for any insight.

I saw several old ladies carrying out cases. Probably gone by now.

Capones had regular BCBS earlier in the week- that is near Addison and Elston....can't imagine they ran out already.

I was actually planning on stopping in there already but just assumed they probably wouldn’t have any. Thanks for the heads up. You remember what the price/limits were?

Or just head down Addison to Broadway and you'll find regular with no limits and for $9.99 at Jewel. I'm sure capones is probably charging $2-3 more.

For me, Prop blows everything else away. Having Reserve from the bottle (vs. draft) is my 2nd this year. Haven't had Northwoods yet but coffee is just ok. Cafe Deth is my favorite coffee this year. I don't think it's even close.

Anybody have instructions on doing this at home? French press maybe?

If anyone has tips on northwoods still on shelves in the city or burbs I would be happy to throw you a thank you beer. PM me. This beer has alluded me.

So I dunno how much truth there is to it and maybe I'm behind the times (story of my life) but a Binny's employee started shooting the shit with me this morning when I was in there and he said that there's no such thing as a second drop. He stated the last two years Goose told them to pull things off the floor a few days after Thanksgiving and they could put it all back out right around this time. Odd...

The one flaw in that employee’s story involves the vintage aspect of the 2nd drop. Did they not include Prop 14 and VR in that 2nd wave? I find it hard to believe Binny’s would’ve sat on those unless I’m totally misremembering

No truth to this. Once we get product in, we want to sell it and make room for whatever else is coming down the pipe. We would not waste valuable warehouse space during the holidays for bottles that we could sell immediately.

There was definitely a second drop at Grand binnys. I saw them unloading it from the Budweiser truck, which is why I stopped in.

That was honestly my thought, what business would want to sit on product intentionally. I threw it out here more to see if I was being fed a line or if there was some truth because if it was truth I would be asking a lot of questions...

Highland Park Binny's beer guy told me last night that they got their second drop, and it was regular only. No variants expected.

It was limit 2, in the back of the store at the front part of the new beer section. They had plenty in the back, I was told.
