Don't let the above naysayers get you completely down. I would not be surprised if Bottles & Cans was doing their BCBS release that day. However, their release is extremely luck oriented based on my experience a couple years ago. They hand out numbers to everyone that shows up by a certain time, and then post an order of the numbers drawn randomly that determine which position you get to select your bottles. I believe they have done this on the Sunday of the weekend after Black Friday weekend. Just monitor this thread as the date gets closer to figure it out.

However, unless a smaller shop like that is doing a specific release that day, the above posts are accurate - basically zero chance of getting a variant that day.

 

I'm looking forward to BCS this year, just like every year. But at this point, honestly, I can't really justify the money spent to hoard more than a single allotment, with all the other good options that are out there. Revolution alone is probably going to take up a decent portion of my BA budget for the season.

I can’t justify the $100 + fee for the clybourn tasting. If this past year has been a good indication, I’ll have plenty of opportunities for pours of these beers.

That said, for those interested, there is an MBA password for presale and you can choose different time slots for the tasting.

Unrelated - having prop pie for breakfast with coworkers. Hooray! Great breakfast pie.

 

Lol at the line for Bang Bang. Now all they have to do is a collab with a gas station by adding BCBS to regular gas and we'll have lines longer than the 1970s oil crisis.....

 

I went by a little before noon. No line. Grabbed a pie and a pour of prop. Batted my eyelashes and got a re-up. Sat outside by the fire and it was delightful.

Was there a line in the morning? Did anyone ever find the golden tickets?

 

anyone else have issues with BPT trying to get tickets for the Clybourn event? Kept getting an error that I needed to select a quantity but there was no option for it.

If I recall, this thing was showing as sold out for all sessions in 15 seconds. And no, I'm not exaggerating.

 

yep it was the MBA people who were able to purchase at 11 CST, my bad

 

Well since I'm a complete mark, I bought two for the 2pm session. Now it's showing sold out immediately. I want to say I'm shocked it sold out so quick, but that'd be a lie.

Remember when people were theorizing that GI's issues with infection a couple years back would significantly drop interest in BCS going forward?

 

But it did effect them! The tickets sold out in 1.000078 seconds as opposed to prior to infection when they sold out in 1.000073 .

 

I think people in the SW/Dallas forums would be able to help you more than anyone here in the Great Lakes region.
