Can buy Mexican vanilla beans fairly cheaply online. You do not need expensive Madagascar vanilla beans, which can run $5/bean.

 

So, they have those at many grocery stores. I've used them before for french toast and such. I don't find them to be as high quality as in other options, and so won't use them for Anniversary items for example. If I was going to try to make my own Vanilla BCBS, I'd probably choose the higher quality option.

Just my opinion.

 

You can buy massive pods at the Spice house from all over the world for 3-5 bucks. Bulk deals if you buy in quantity.

Allotment, yes. Prop says it's not going to be available at all though, so I take TBD to mean it's coming they just don't know how much

 

Jesus Christ they are still selling VR...I hope the people that traded their first borns over the past year for that remain blissfully ignorant as to this fact. I wonder when those bottles will ever be exhausted.

It does seem as though they're thinning the vintage bottles a decent bit, though. There's no way I'll be lined up early enough to get a VR, and the rest of the stuff doesn't interest me all that much, so I'm not in a rush to be in the first 500...I think.

 

I'm thinking TBD is they are not sure if it will be available at this time while Prop they know at this time. Surely the allotment for Reserve couldn't be more than 1 given it's one at all the other Binny's? Hope it is there for you guys though. Good luck.

 

Anyone go to a non-LP binny’s last year? Gonna be in the burbs, and was thinking of trying jewel and then going to Binny’s a half an hour before open. Is that crazy talk, or viable?

You probably need to specify which Binny's store but I would say that is likely crazy talk if you are interested in the full allotment. You'd get some reg BCBS sure perhaps but no way for the full allotment imo.

 

Between this and the Benthic announcement, my work productivity has taken a dip this afternoon.

 

VR and Prop 14 are still kicking! Too bad they didn't save any of Prop 13. You literally never see that available.
