I still think Vanilla is going to mature into a REALLY good beer. Prop also. The rest...eh.

Am a sucker for anything chocolate and orange tho.

I think this can be generalized to craft beer itself though. Whether it is BA stouts, IPAs, whatever. In recent years, craft beer has let go of the shackles of it being part of the beverage of the 'common man'. As you mention, GI could very well price these higher given demand, particularly the variants. Some breweries are pricing their beer with no bounds.

Fucking idiots. I said clockwise is the way to go. It’s going to be a shot show when the line wraps counterclockwise and there is no where to go. Mass cutting will happen when the line snakes like last year.

You're definitely right, but they really hit the gas pedal for BCBS. Foggy memory caveat, but most craft six packs were like $9-$10 in 2009, give or take. Prices have ticked up since then but regular old BCBS is like 3x what it cost back then.

I do get sticker shock a lot more these days than I ever used to when cruising the aisles of Binny's or wherever.

They are hoping to have entire line done in 2 hours. Told us at line number 130 we would be out in 20 minutes. They will have all registers open.

Full allotment and not tagging each bottle should greatly improve speed.

So if there is close to 250 there now.......one would need to arrive say by 3 or 4 am to secure wristband? Thoughts?

It's hard to estimate what's going to happen with the line. Again, I'm hoping people keep updating as they arrive.

I had MO at prop day and hated it. Super strong orange flavor and zero chocolate. Had it again at FOBAB and there was more chocolate, but still overwhelmingly orange and off balanced.

Had it again yesterday, but this time it was a full pour, not the little pours like the previous two. The first sip was super chocolate with a nice orange aftertaste. My first thought was, this beer is super inconsistent, which matches what people are saying here ("this beer sucks!" "this beer is great!").

Here's the thing...as it warmed, the orange really took over and that's all I could taste again. My best guess is you get a lot of chocolate when its cold, but the orange takes over as it warms. Which makes sense, as prop day and FOBAB were pouring from pitchers, and were probably pretty warm.

Damn. This is my alternative to throwing in the towel on LP this year. Really hoping it's not a hundred deep in a few hrs...

It was about 5AM last year. Release is moved up by 2 hours so I’d think 2 or 3 is about right.

Get out of here with these review posts! We just want line updates!

From the line: very well organized, no concerns so far. A few open flames, some propane heaters. Lots of beers being shared. Other than that, boatloads of lawn chairs, winter coats, brewery hats and sleeping bags. 9ish hours to go, assuming our spots in line make it through checkout by 8-820.

So the tl;dr for this looks to be "Binny's did a good job with organization, and people are still fucking insane."
