Yeah it just arrived at the warehouse this week but won't be delivered to accounts until the morning of Black Friday.

I seem to recall that Bourbon County hit the shelves early the past couple of years in the Bay area. I'd suspect contrary to Goose Island's wishes. Otherwise yeah, Black Friday.

Just a heads up last year at Jewel they got their shipments in and put it behind the customer service desk in the backroom. Nobody had any fucking clue it was even there. I ended up passing on it because I couldn't justify the price.

Maybe at some Jewels, but not all of them.

Last year it was at SE MI Costco's before Black Friday, and I almost got out with a few bottles, but then the beer guy came running and said they couldn't sell it until BF. He took my bottles and the 1 case of BCBS (that's it) off the shelves.

Should've made a run for it. If there were self checkouts open and you just happened to have enough cash without concern for getting change back you might've made it.

I should have qualified my response...chains will get it before Black Friday but us independents get it the morning of. There have been instances where chain stores will put it out before BF because of poor communication in house and that's not a big deal to distributors, but let me get it early and put it out too soon and there will be a melt down.

I have seen distributors get all their BCBS in October simply due to the time needed for the allocation process and then getting it out to the bars and stores in a timely fashion. Recent bottling dates start in mid-July and go through mid-November, so I'm sure Goose is trying to get out as much as they can as soon as they can.

You've probably mentioned it before, but what is your store? If you don't want to disclose here and would DM me, that would be great. I am guessing it's in Ypsilanti, but just wondered.

I was checking back in with the Binny's Black Friday blog to see if they announced downstate allocations yet. That's a no, but damn, I forgot how priceless the comments section gets on that page. Soak it all in everybody.

Yeah, be forewarned everyone, don't plan to do anything smart for a good 30-60 min after reading this.

You’re so right. I’ve taken a laundry break, ALCS break and now a news break. I still almost burned out by the comments.

Some of this shit is great (who is posting on the Binny's website?).

"I think with the "no tents" policy, you can revise that to "no tents bigger than 1-4 person capacity"."

So instead of no tents, only tents that can fit a small family? Am I missing something, and there've been Olympic Village-style tents set up in past years? :stuck_out_tongue:

I also appreciate the lack of self-awareness that comes from people complaining about being forced to wait in line for hours and hours, as if that's the purpose of the event.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of stupid people in the world. I did get some good laughs out of those comments, though.

"FORCED to wait in line" Just like some kind of prisoner chain gang line. If only there was some way to escape...

I don't know if this is funnier/sadder than the comments, but the answer to this question is yes.

Those comments are pretty tame compared to years past. But the complaining about the lines is pretty bad.

I also think binnys is being a little vague on some things as well.
