No one is whining as far as I can tell. And why would someone drop $400+ at DLD? Who is spending $200+ on pours and food at DLD?

I've heard rumors of strange, mysterious beings who purchase multiple tickets to DLD, just to spend time with the other ticket holders...

That's multiple people... two people going, two people sharing, two people drinking, etc. That's a little different. No single person is spending $400+

Except for that guy at the bottle pick-up exit asking to buy my variant for $400...

Yeah but they can walk away with over $1,000 in beer (secondary) easy.

I'd go even if you didn't get a variant. It's a fun day. But it is easy for people to justify the cost since you can walk away with one beer that you can flip for $500.

Even if you don't want to flip it, trying to trade for a Handjee is going to suck. Better off taking the chance on buying $200 tickets. Even the shit-tier variants can be traded for around $150 in beer.

I know exactly where you're coming from. I'm the same way. While I love big boozy stouts and BA Stouts, I don't want it to overpower and if I want to feel like I'm drinking bourbon, I'll buy Bourbon. With saying that, I love BCBS and while it is a very boozy stout w/ barrel presence as well, I don't feel like it's what you're referring to and trying to avoid. Try it.

Got a couple hours layover in chicago on Friday and was wondering how much vintage bottles go for for on-site consumption. Don't ser any pricing on the website.

This is a recent picture of the vintage bottles and pricing at the Taproom:

The Fulton Brewpub would have same/similar pricing, but far less Vintage and Cellar offerings regularly available.

You have a couple hour layover, and you're going to go to Clybourn and split some vintage bottles? That's dedication.

    I like it!

I assume he meant he has a layover in the traditional sense - an overnight layover.

Yeah, trying to make it to GI during a couple hour flight layover is definitely going to cause a missed flight. Have to imagine it's overnight, or 6-8 hours, at least.
