So to try to summarize this thread, total wine is the only place in dallas getting rare??

Reg bcbs should be at specs, whole foods, hall's, and what else?

Other beers aren't label approved yet per the Austin thread. Sorry I'm in dallas from austin for thanksgiving, don't think I'll camp for rare but I'm not sure where to get bcbs. I'll be south by Cedar Hill

Most of the places will have the regular. Shouldnt be too difficult to get with limits in place.

 

Since we don't know quantity of rare that will be released at TW, how early do we really think is required to get in line at TW to get a bottle of rare?

 

What grocery stores would have it up here?

 

I wonder if Kroger will be getting Rare, or if it's the brand stout.

 

Who's advertising that? It's just regular BCBS and one store with Rare, nothing else as far as I know. One store mistakenly thought they had coffee and proprietor's, but that was wrong.

 

How do you know it's just one store with Rare?

 

They've (the GI rep) tried to say that it's just the one store, but now I'm hearing differently. Guess we'll see Friday.

Mueller confirmed Sunday, Reg and Rare only. The eventful link hasn't been updated since it was announced.

Got to be somehow using the BCBS regular label approval, maybe Rare is close enough to the regular it counts for both bottles?

 

The wooden box it comes in would be a huge hindrance. It's approved for sale regardless, if not currently listed on TABC. (I've seen numerous example where I've received and sold a keg before it's actually listed on the website FWIW)

 

Somebody at GI is probably getting fired over the label approval fiasco.

 

Doubtful. This happened in 2013 as well- GI BC stuff sells out no matter what day it's released.

 

Should be there already just for a parking spot, I'm sure. That TW shares a parking lot with both Best Buy and Toys R Us, which are heavy hitters for Black Friday as well.

 

Kroger @ Alliance in North Fort Worth got a TON of cases of BCBS, $9.99 per bottle with NO LIMIT!!! Watch and see when Hals, Goody Goody, Specs all have limited quantity purchase....nice to see Kroger step it up!

 

Got to Total Wine Denton around 6 am and picked up the following:
2 - BC Stout
1 - BC Rare
1 - Helldorado 2015
1 - Stickee Monkey 2015
1 - Velvet Merkin 2015
1 - Parabola 2015
Also picked up a case of BC Stout at the Denton Kroger. Not a bad day!
