Just found out my local store got some Bourbon County Coffee Stout in today...but they're charging $28/bottle. I've never had it and that seems kinda crazy...just want to see what everyone else's been paying...

    I payed $25.

If you're talking about the Craft Beer Outlet they're currently running a sale for $4 off big bottles over $20. So it would be $24.

Yeah I just got their email...contemplating running over there to grab some. I heard that the coffee is not part of their big bottle sale though. I've never had this stuff but everyone seems to go crazy over it so wondering if it's worth price.

it is very chocolate cake type tasting with nice coffee flavor
and slightly boozy if this your style i would definitely get
it is slightly on the high end of price usually closer to the lower to mid 20's
beermenus.com is good site to find prices

I've gotten it for $14.99 here in Brooklyn (another store has it currently for $16.99). Definitely a great beer but not worth the $28 price tag.

Whoa, the craft beer outlet is overcharging on a beer? What a shock!

sounds on point for philly, some other places had it for $30+ when it came out. maybe split the cost/bottle with a friend to lessen the sting, but it's by far one of the best BA stouts out there, especially if you're into coffee.

I got it for $25 when it first came but $28 isn't too awful.

$28 bottles of beer just don't cut it for me anymore. Granted I did buy BCBS in a 4 pack for $30 but I'm getting 4 beers instead of one plus I've never had it before. $28 for one bottle is about $10 less than buying a case of local beer.

And yes I know I'll get a response of "please tell me what local beer you buy in a case that tastes like BCBCS etc etc" but sometimes I doesn't come down to taste comparisons. I'd rather pay the a little bit more for a case of good tasting beer than one bottle of great tasting beer.

Pricing is closer to bar prices but it is a tasty beer. I've paid $30 to split a BCS variant at a bar before and was quite pleased.

Paid 18$ at mulitple places in south jersey and was able to snag 4 bottle total. 28$ too much in my opinion when some have paid almost half that price for it. It is damn good though and I guess worth the luxury once if you have never had it.

Right and this is the problem with Philly. Bottle shops are almost equivalent to restaurants because of our shit ass laws.

That's why I'd be shopping at the Downington Wegmans if I lived there (well, that among many other reasons). Might not be a world class selection, but definitely among the largest and best priced that I've been able to find in this state.

Or you can go to the total wine in Delaware. SN Ruthless rye for 28 bucks a case.

Reasonable price, considering you would be hard-pressed to find it anywhere else in the Philly area.
