Enjoy it! I've got a 2013 bottle that I'm waiting for that moment to present itself to try it myself. That weird combination of "patience" and "can't' wait!"

Coffee never fades much in any coffee beer I have had. Mythbuster...

CW BBA Stout is a nice entry-level (but World Class) barrel-aged Stout. No coffee in it, though.

    But they do oxidize...

This beers always makes me wonder why I try to trade for hyper-exclusive bombers...that turn out to be not as good as this one. Cheers, I'm having a regular atm.

Everything on the face of the planet oxidizes...

I love breakfast stout and I know that's a lot of chocolate but I love the coffee in it. I just put it in the fridge so it should be ready soon. Thanks for all the responses! I love this website.

And as coffee oxidizes it starts to taste like peppers.

I didn't love BBA beers until I had BCBS, and I like BCBCS better. I'm sure you will fall in love.

Update opened it up finally. I was hit immediately with the smell of coffee. If I had to use one word I would describe it as fan-f'ing-tastic. Was absolutely thrilled with the way it tasted. It was everything I hoped and more. Definitely didn't taste 13.1%. Now I just need to find some more!

Store cold and the coffee will be strong for at least 2 years. Store a room temp and the coffee is gone after a year.

Bourbon County is soooo good, doubt the coffee has fallen off, but it's smoother and creamier than KBS, and not as harsh. I'd get it in the mid 40's to start and sip and let it warm a bit, it's nice cool, I really don't care for room temp anything.

Disagree, it does fade but will not be gone.

I recently opened a 12 that was in the fridge for the entire time, even bought it from a store cooler. And a week later my friend opened one that was at room temp the entire time. Completely different beer, I'm not talking a small difference, it was unbelievable. If it were a blind taste test I wouldn't have believed it.

As it warms, it is phenomenal. I wouldn't go room temp, but cool.

oxidized coffee tastes like green (unroasted) coffee smells and probably tastes too, but I am not going there. Green coffee beans have been in some questionable places. I get the green pepper/jalepeno thing too.

This stuff is ridiculous. I had like 4 of these at Rattle N Hum one night last year. Another one of those lucky to be at the right place right time. And yes I passed out on the train ride home. lol

Hmmmm, I had BCBCS the other day that tasted off, probably oxidized from improper storage

Was it stored with the cap on?
