    Just had to post this.
I just came home from Two Stones Pub in Newark, DE and they had bottles of bcbcs. Oh my god. Hands down the best coffee stout I've ever had and definitely in the top 5 beers I've ever had. People told me previously that it is good but not as good as kbs. I personally believe that it blows kbs away and I've always loved kbs.
So rich and smooth. The bourbon doesn't bring heat...it just brings delicious flavor which accentuates everything else.

The last time I was this stoked trying a new beer was after my first heady.

I will definitely seek this out in the future.

I guess my question for debate is....do most people think this is the best coffee stout or do you guys prefer kbs or fbs or something else? I used to love fbs but this past year I felt was too coffee forward and thin in mouthfeel. It was like an iced coffee and not like a coffee stout.

Bcbcs > kbs by far. It's not even close for me.

Hard to really compare the two, they are quite different.

I've fallen out of love with coffee stouts for the most part, although fresh BCBCS did blow me away. I dig Peche Mortel, but the lack of dating led me to buy some old bottles recently that aren't very good, so I probably won't be buying any more of that until I can find some that is assured to be fresh.

I also had some Central Waters Peruvian Morning. I wasn't a huge fan, but I'm hoping a couple of months will improve it.

I prefer Espresso Oak Aged Yeti. Bourbon County Coffee was very good but overwhelmingly coffee forward when fresh; I bet I'd enjoy it a lot more if I had it today but I've only had it at release and 3 months. KBS falls between the two according to my ratings

Everyone has their own preferences but I'd take Peche Mortel over BCBCS.

Hard to compare, what ? These are both Coffee forward, bourbon barrel aged, imperial stouts. And arguably the two best examples of the style. How can you not compare the two.

Hands down BCBCS for me btw.

How is this in DE, I want to know? My dad lives in DE and I already sent him over.

I too was stunned to see it on the menu. They've had more GI stuff recently including regular bcbs on tap for craft beer week. It was $20. I couldn't say no. It paired perfectly with their Sunday smokehouse brunch special. Good thing that I had a breast feeding wife in tow to drive my ass home.

:grimacing: $20?????!!!!! Last time I looked at in on the Newark menu is was like $35 or $40!!! If that's the new price I will have to stop in for a bottle soon!

BCBCS is indeed better than KBS (sorry KBS, still love u), however, it needs some time
to sit - it's quite hot right now. Although I'm sure there are others that will argue letting
it sit will allow the strong coffee flavors to disapate, and they may be right - tough call.
I've had it in a bottle and on tap. Pure deliciousness all around!!!

Is Imperial Biscotti Break a coffee stout? If it is I prefer it to Bourbon County Coffee but probably prefer KBS over either one.

Anyone who thinks that KBS is better than Bourbon County Coffee is dead to me.

I'd love to get a bottle to do my own taste test. It's on my bucket list though.

If you're Peruvian Morning isn't infected... Mine for teh second year in a row infected within 2 months of getting it. Too bad it's the only Coffee Stout I like and I LOVE it fresh.

Otherwise KBS IMO fresh crushes BCBCS but BCBCS with a few months on it is on par. But I don't love coffee stouts usually I feel there's to much coffee (yea yea, so just drink a stout, so I do).

Had it yesterday at Farmhouse, It exceeded KBS IMHO. I wanted to order more but the ABV was a little to high for more than one. The coffee and bourbon were balanced perfectly.

I have never had the pleasure. KBS and BBPéché are both AMAZING beers! I'd love to see if BCBCS could come close. I never use to think a BCBS could compare until I tried Bramble Rye. Regular BCBS could never compare.
