And that is exactly why they do this. If everyone stood their ground and it was collecting dust you know they would lower their prices. If I owned a liquor store I would do the same exact thing for releases like this. It sucks, but if people buy it why should they stop.

I remember 2 years ago(and further back) the beer sat on the shelves. I was able to pick up coffee bombers and others easily all the way in February and March in some areas. Others it used to last longer and that was when it sold for only $20.

In Miami one of my lesser known beer spots had 4 packs of the barleywine and regular stout on the shelves for months. I got two four packs of the barleywine and two four packs of the stout, which I thought was fair. Never saw any of the variants.

On a related note to CT -- I was in Stratford and heading back to my place here outside of Boston last night - stopped in Harvest Wine & Spirits in Hartford and they had some 4 packs of BCBS left. Very nice store. They got in several phone calls about BCBS while I was in browsing their selection and buying some other beers so I'd guess it is all gone now.

I did like seeing they had Dirty Bastard so I got a 4 pack of that as well

... which one? Lunch? Another One? Don't bother hunting for them IMO. they show up seemingly randomely here and there, tough to nail any down or find them consistently.

Heard the same. No coffee in CT (yet?) and stupid limited quantities of the bombers. Like 1-2 for select stores. Apparently not as much BCBS came to the state as previous years. My local store got 5 cases last year but is only expecting 1 this year, if that.

Found regular stout at a decent amount of places yesterday morning.

Drank regular and barleywine at Plan B in Glastonbury yesterday afternoon.

Drank regular and coffee at main pub in Manchester a couple hours ago.

I agree with the posts about not being greedy and buying up everything in stock to hoard 30+ bottles. I may regret it later, but I went to 3 package stores that had it and I only bought one four pack of regular stout total. M&R didnt seem to have any bottle limits and were completely out of barleywine when I came through around 1 pm and someone had already come through to buy most of it.

Plenty of BCBS and Barleywine out there as of yesterday. Word on the street is that CT is NOT getting coffee, and Vanilla Rye may or may not be available. If Vanilla ever gets here, it will likely be outrageously difficult to find.

I got six bottles of the regular Friday. I was really excited. I shared two of them while brewing with three other guys and the others are for a yearly vertical with bcbs. Last year I did a vert with 2012 and 2013. This year I am doing 2012,2013, and a 2014. I am excited for 2017. It will be a Styx year vert.

I am doing these yearly verticals with bcbs, founders imperial, and Bigfoot. I chose these because they are so easy to find. I purposely chose easy to find beers. However, I was/am worried because bcbs is now not so easy to find. I hope it does not get any harder to find in future years. It would suck not completing the vert. I now fear future releases of this beer. At least next year I will only need three. I hope everyone gets some.

Went to M&R Glastonbury on Friday and asked if I could split up the last four-pack of BCBS - clerk said it was okay, so I grabbed two bottles. Heard other stores are getting their shipments this week. I'm hoping to get some Barleywine soon.

Nice to see not all stores in CT are charging $10.00 a 12 oz bottle like some stores are. My 4 pk cost me $42.99 with tax. I did not realize how muched I got ***** until I came here and saw what the rest of you are paying.

Yeah, that's real bad. I paid 26.99 before tax for my four pack and didn't feel great about it.
