Does anyone know of any bars in the Boston area that do the "Black Wednesday" release of Bourbon County draft on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving? Used to go to Stoddard's in downtown before it closed.

Same here -- loved Black Wednesday at Stoddard's. I'd expect to start hearing about events beginning next week, though 1-2 may trickle in this week. Hugh O'Neill's in Malden typically hosts a BCBS event, and Canary Square in JP has done so in the past a few times.

Not sure but I'd also love to know!

    Bumping this up.

I have been looking, but have not found any events yet. A sign of the times, perhaps.

Maybe we'll hear something early next week; hard to say. If I do find anything, I'll update the thread. That being said, I do fully expect to see BCBS show up in a few draft lines around Boston later this month, but it may just be in unceremonious fashion.

As was mentioned, I’m fairly certain Hugh O’Neil’s will have a couple. Last year I also had multiple versions at Lu Lu’s in Allston. Some year’s Five Horses Tavern has had some as well.

With the exception of Hugh O’Neil’s though I’m not sure which bars will release it Thanksgiving week.

City Tap House in Ft. Point had a couple last year.

Not draft, but does anybody know which variants are being distributed to MA this year?

Apparently there are 12 oz 4-packs of regular BCBS in some markets this year, would love to get some of those.

So far it looks like we're going to see Regular, Coffee, Biscotti, Sir Issacs, and 30th Anniversary bottles. I can also confirm that there are 12oz 4-packs in market (have already secured one).

Awesome. Any idea the point on the 4-pack? Assuming it’ll be $40ish.

I paid $42 for the four-pack today and $26 each for variants at Oakdale Liquors in Tewksbury. That place is usually a little more expensive than others, but I was done grocery shopping next door, so it was an easy pickup.

Appreciate the heads up on Oakdale Tewks:wink:

Held off on the 30th given the higher tag price.

Yankee Spirits prices if anyone is interested.

    BCBS 500ml $12.96
    BCBCS $23.96
    Sir Isaac $23.96
    Biscotti $23.96
    30th Reserve $38.96

They also had the 4 packs but didn’t ask about price or what version they were. 6 people in line at Swansea for 9AM opening. 1PP on the variants. Regular and coffee no limits. Think they had two cases of Reserve.

Anyone make it to the York River Landing black Friday too? It was excellent! All the variants offers as Bottle pours outside of 30th. Which we took home with us! :sunglasses:

Ended up picking up the 30th at Yankee earlier, by the time I got there they said they only had OG and 30 so I splurged. Found Sir Isaac and Biscotti at Gasbarros but was only able to get 1 of them per store rules

Having tried all the variants now outside of opening our 30th I can say they were all very good and worth the money.

I imagine the proprietors will be weird. But possibly fun to try

Saw the regular and variants at Whole Foods in Medford last night out on display. Forget the price on regular, variants were $25 each.

Snagged a Coffee last night at Total Wine, already regretting that I didn't grab the biscotti. In theory that one's probably most up my alley.

Pretty bummed we didn't get the barleywine, I hope the enthusiasm for it means 4 packs of non-reserve bw come back at some point. Those 2013 or 14 bottles are all timers.
