Bourbon County Glass

Why is there a limit on purchasing glassware, are they not sure they will sell a lot of glasses? They can have them made anytime and in any amount, maybe they think it is actually Bourbon County Stout and they can't have more made.

I'll be in Chicago for DLD weekend. Any chance these are still around this weekend?

 

Unfortunately, no. When I left the Clybourn brewpub late yesterday afternoon there were exactly 38 left.

 

I was there again last night to pick up a pair for a BA. The guy behind the counter said they started with, 'about 200' on Friday. The odds of these lasting to DLD are indeed slim.

 

So you heard 10 cases, and she said they got "about 200". I'll guess maybe 180 is the magic number, since you know it's 6 per box, and that would mean 3 boxes of 6 per case?

I was told there'd be no math, but I like numbers for some reason.

 

Dammit!

Well, the world needs ditch diggers, too...

 

However, there is some good news. They are expecting another shipment next month, however they aren't going to be shipping them.

 

Was just there. They are out except for the display glass which is broken.

 

So it looks like these match the inital ones that came out rather than the higher up design that was on last batch.

 

They are getting another shipment next month. So no more whale glass.

 

That is good news. I have some friends that might be able to help next time.

If I was misinformed by the woman at the desk (entirely possible), I'm seriously pissed for going out of my way.

I talked to the lady after they tweeted me back and she said that the manager had set some aside for this week but they were never brought upstairs so everyone just assumed that they had sold out. Luckily I was still nearby when they sent the tweet and I was able to get a pair. Looks like its super limited inventory as Lansman alluded to, but they have them on backorder again, slated for Mid May arrival.

 

anyone willing to pick one up for a BA in the deep south, I'll be driving to DLD and would definetely take care of you with some nice stuff, let me know if anyone is interested.
