Bourbon County in a Pint Glass!?!?

    so i made my way back to my hometown syracuse this week for some holiday time with the family and popped into j. ryans with my twin brother tonight for a beer or two. i was shocked delighted to see bourbon county on the beer list, as this is something ive wanted to try for ages, and with the brewery being bought this week, something i thought i might never get to sample in its pure form. we ordered up two of them and couldnt believe it when they were served in pint glasses! the beer is listed on here at 15%, and on j. ryan's menu at 14.5%. surely i would have expected this to come in an 8oz. snifter, a 10oz. being optimistic, but a pint glass? maybe the girls didnt know what they had back there, but is this common? i was personally blown away, and it was only 8 bucks. a delicious brew, but i felt like i was getting away with something. anyone else had a similar experience of such generous fortune? (keeping in mind that a pint glass is clearly not the most appropriate or flattering glassware for this brew)...

    Yes I've had Bourbon County in pint glasses for low prices before.

    It's never ended well...

    If I could get a pint of BCBS for 8 bucks, at a bar, they could serve it in a styrofoam cup for all I care.

    Got a pitcher of Abyss once...well when they told us it was coming in pitchers we got more than one. But it was about 15 bucks a pitcher. In a bar, obviously.

    I got year old Abyss for $4 a pint at my local last year. Prices are sky high now. Year old Abyss will be $5 a pint.

    Don't overthink and be happy u got more versus less at the bar. Obviously at home a snifter is more appropriate but as some on this thread said, the more the better of it at a pub for as inexpensive as possible!!! If ur really concerned ask them to bring a snifter and pour it in there for drinking.

    I remember first time I had Abyss was at Burger Bar in Vegas. $25 if memory serves me and worth every penny.

    I was served a pint of Reverend for $3 on New Years last year. They actually knew it wasn't right but claimed all of their 10oz glasses were "dirty". They were just throwing us a bone, so we drank a ton of them and tipped almost 100%. Love stuff like this!

    Was served Black Note in a pint glass the other day. It was pint day and it cost me $3.50. I thought I had died and gone to heaven

    Had what must have been around 650ml of 2012 Bourbon County on draft for $8. The menu said 10 oz.
