A pint of BCBS would be enough to get me pretty lit. One 12 oz bottle is plenty for me. IF it came out in a pint glass though, I'd be pretty stoked and sip on it for a long time.

They (management) thought enough to bring BCBS in. This sounds like a bartender/server fucking up and anyone who was in the house that night reaping the sweet benefits.

BCBS served in a pint glass is irresponsible on the bar's part IMO. I would not send it back though if it was served to me.

You may be correct, however I'm not sure this is always the case. Either way, it makes me wonder if they don't pay as much as we think they do.

Same, but during a happy hour $4.50 a pint was quite nice.

Yup. Miss Murphy's off North Lincoln Ave. here in Chicago has a delightful keg of the '11. Pay by the ounce. And pretty damned amazing too. Obviously.

There is a bar near me that does the same thing w/ certain beers, cracks me up.
Bar is doing very well,so owner doesn't seem concerned on training the pretty faces he hires.
I like to watch the girls there pour my beer, cuz there is a good chance that I may receive something else other than what I ordered.Another funny thing is to hear the employees "try" to pronounce the names of the craft that is being poured.Def. skipped on training, thats for sure.

    Cheers

Last year I was given a near full pint of Abrasive Ale for free because the keg went dry as the bartender was pouring. There had to be 10 or 11 ounces in the glass, so I thought it was a big win for me.

With BCBS coming from the Bud Distributors I am sure this kind of thing is going to be fairly common place. The bars that are going to get BCBS on draft are the ones spending the most with said distributor. So the small craft bar with the knowledgeable staff that would know what it iis and put it in the right glass are not going to get first crack at BCBS. Your going to see it at Hooters and wing house and Alehouse that sell a shit ton of Bud. They are going to treat it as Guinness because that's the only other stout they have ever seen.

I had a bar in Seattle serve me DFH 120 in a pint. That was too much 120 at one time.

I live in Seattle and I was just thinking the same thing, the most I've ever paid for Pliny on tap up here was $6.

I just had a mad elf in a pint glass. Not quite BCBS, but pretty delicious nonetheless.

Some of the threads sound like a bargain and other threads sound more like pricing or glassware mistakes were made, but yes I wonder as well.

Anderson Valley Brother David Tripel in a pint glass. When I asked for a wine glass, the bar tender just gave me one. Poured the trip into the glass as needed, so I got a solid 4-5 extra ounces of a solid tripel for nothing. Loved it!
