Regular BCS spends a year in barrels? Thought it was something like 4-5 months.

FWIW, YouEnjoyMyStout comes in 750s this year for $10.

Does anybody know the story on Rare in Mass? I've read mixed messages on here and facebook. Any chance it pops up late or are we shit out of luck?

I should've done this, but was skeptical about what they'd have on Friday--the person I spoke to on Wednesday night said they had already let their employees into the variants, so they were unsure as to what was left for customers.

What even worse about T&V is that they posted on their FB page prior to the release that they'd have the variants available at 1-2 bottles per person, which is the only reason I stood in line. Guess I expected they wouldn't just sell to their employees.

The Beer Shop in E Longmeadow had a great setup for the event, but never got their variants distributed to them!

Thanks for the help BA Brethren. Special shout out to MVP09

I was able to hunt down the 2015 release at Wegman's in Burlington. $9.99 / bottle. Two bottle limit. They had about 12 cases on the display which was located in the wine / hard liquor section.

I was in line at T&V too, total waste of time. Shady tactic for sure.

Blanchards in Revere also had BW behind the counter for $19.99/bottle. I passed. Grabbed last 2 WWS on the shelf with a bottle date of 1/25/14 instead.

A retailer that has always gotten variants in the past said that his AB rep said he needed to take in 40cs of GI six packs to get a good quantity of BCS.

    Ooof.

Crazy. It's pretty remarkable to me that GI can make a few truly excellent beers—the entire BCBS lineup, the sisters—but the core product that seems to be the price of admission for allocations this year (Goose IPA) sucks.

I suspect they have some more in the back and put a little bit out at a time. I was in there yesterday and there were 3 BWs left. Wonder if they are hiding anything else...

They're down to 4 now... I asked someone stocking the shelves and he said that was the rest of what they have.

They were selling Regal for $35 a bottle. Talk about price gouging.

I can't sit by and let Goose Island/Budweiser get away with this one. When you see a store selling the regular Bourbon County Stout for under $20, it's because they bought 40 cases or more of Bourbon County (there's a price cut if you buy in quantity). Now, if you don't have $10,000 to spend on Bourbon County and just by one case your price is actually over $20 a bottle for it (cost). This is one of the most lopsided deals I've ever seen. I understand a few dollars off when you buy in quantity but this completely kills small stores and shits on their reputation.

So if you see a high price on something and you're in a small store, keep in mind it might not be their fault. All deals are not created equally.

Interesting insight but at the end of the day it's all speculation. I've seen low prices in small stores and high prices in large. Blanchards is not a small operation. It's easy and sometimes it's right to blame the Bud/InBev boogeyman, but sometimes it is simply the case of a greedy liquor store owner looking to make a nice profit on a sought after beer.
