Austin Liquors (locations in Shrewsbury and Worcester) will almost certainly get some. Last year I think they got variants, and regular sat for a few weeks.

The problem I've had in that area is that the bigger stores that I was actually inclined to go to for beer sell out really quickly, and the smaller stores (that are probably getting BCBS because they sell a lot of bud light) don't really know what they have and probably won't even put it out on Black Friday.

Yankee Spirits usually get it on Black Friday?

Anybody know of any Western MA places in the Greenfield/Northampton/Amherst area?

Vinin in Swampscott tweeted that they put out all the variants yesterday- they said they had regular, regal, and coffee. Fort Point Market tweeted today say they were putting them out today- I think they said they had regular, regal, coffee and barleywine.

Curious if other stores are going to follow suit and put them out early.

I know of a store that put them out today (withholding the location for now, sorry).

Regular was ~$10, Coffee was ~$12, and Regal Rye was ~$20.They didn't have the BW, Rare, or Prop (obviously).

If previous years are any indication... a small number release early, most wait til black Friday, and some don't even get theirs until after black Friday.

Great to hear about these stores releasing them early! Anyone heard / seen Barleywine for '15 in stores?

Just this year I was buying '13 and '14 Barleywine off store shelves in MA! I'm hooked on BC Barleywine....help!

As Vinnin included #blackfriday in the tweet, I took it to mean that the release is on black friday.

I can't remember if they did last year honestly. I never really searched out anything limited there because I found the staff so unpleasant it wasn't even worth asking. Half the time they scoff and say "heh that sold out before it even hit the shelf," and half the time they basically say, "geez its not even on the shelf yet calm down."

I feel like it hit the next day or week at yankee, but sold out really quickly.

Yeah we must not have the cash, or sumpin, for all the $25-27 fourpacks of BCBS that sit and gather dust in frontier Massachusetts. But beg to differ on the last point. In Mass. we can get either Weyerbacher Heresy or New Holland Dragon's Milk for $16-17 a fourpack. And in-state Abandoned Building brewery has a killer BA stout called Nightshade that is around $11 a bomber when it's out. The new price of BCBS, at a 48 ounce fourpack rate if the Goosemasters still packaged them that way, would be $34. BCBS may be better, but twice as good? Maybe...but darn their price-gouging souls. When other big crafty brewers like Stone are putting one or more of their popular bomber brews in 12 oz. sixpacks at less per ounce, Goose-us is increasing their hot stuff by up to 60% in one year (yes it was as cheap as $20/4 here briefly last year). OTOH, when it sells out in an hour or two in their home city, can't blame them much for testing what the market will bear.

I just don't think BCBS is overpriced in any way. Find me another top rated barrel aged stout that you can get a 17oz bottle for $10-$11? Look at aged stouts from breweries like TG, The Bruery, CCB, etc etc .. a lot of their best barrel aged stuff start at $25 and go as high as $50 for a 750ml bottle. (plus the hassle/cost of trading for them) This still seems like a good deal to me, and for a barrel aged stout, the 500ml bottle is a good size for a single sitting. Last year I paid $7 for a single 12 oz, this year $11 for a 17oz. .58 cents an OZ vs .65 not that much of a difference

If they sell all of it, the price isn't too high...

That's my current plan. Plenty of it still out there.

Feeling extra glad I got that six pack of Xocoveza over the weekend for $17.

Fort Point Market in Boston tweeted that they have the regular Bourbon County on sale now.

FYI, this is the place right next to Trillium... I bought it with a few other things, so I'm not sure how much it was, but someone above said they saw regular for $12 ... that's probably close to accurate, I'd imagine.

Can you at least advise as to whether it was Western or Eastern Mass? I spoke to a few places in Western Mass that said they were doing Black Friday releases.

$29.99 for regular in the South End. Insanity.

For one bottle? That doesn't make any sense. If that was the pricing for a four-pack from 2014, that'd be high, but I think the MSRP last year was $23.99 so OK. Maybe there's a problem with that store's SKU and they're just copying it over from last year?

The MSRP for one 16.9 oz. bottle now is $9.99.
