I have yet to see any talk of BCBS drops in Maine yet. I spoke briefly with my local bottle shop that received a case last year, and the owner hasn't heard anything yet. Anyone heard anything?
This is already on several stores shelves in the Augusta/Skowhegan/Waterville area. The distributor regularly drops the cases off the week before Turkey Day instead of the week of and most of the shops just throw it right on the sales floor. Only one had a price tag though this week (Wednesday). The case seemed smaller than last year (like it was only 12 bottles not 24)? 110+ tax seemed steep for 24 bottles but is about what I paid in 2014. The store owner wouldn't break the case open to sell a four pack. Checked back today and all three cases had sold. He did not expect to receive any additional BCBS.
There are no 4 packs this year, it's all 500 mL bottles. 12 per case. Where the hell are you buying your bottles? A bottle of regular is MSRP $9.99, what liquor store is selling it below cost???
i just pick up a few bottles at Jokas in Waterville for $8.59 a bottle. There were a couple cases left.
Yes, I wouldn't expect much for variants in Maine. Last year a very small amount of Vanilla made it to Maine a couple months after the release and that was it for variants.
From what ive heard from the distributors maine never got any variants, the bottle shop that was selling vanilla went down to Mass, bought vanilla, and was selling it illegally.
Is this anywhere on tap between Portland and Kittery? Wanted a pour to compare and contrast to the past few years...
York river landing had 2013, 2015 and night stalker on tap yesterday. Not sure if it's still available. Had a whole lineup of amazing dark beers on tap.
Umm wow I just saw some check-ins, why was I not there yesterday?! Can't go wrong with Foundation and Allagash visits though, not kicking myself too much...
I probably wouldn't be able to swing by until tomorrow on the way home, but no huge loss if I miss out this weekend. Hoping that it is a shelf beer at a few local stores in RI as per usual.
