Think anything will make it to the Toledo area?

 

I had heard that about the keg as well, and figured it was supposed to be Lizardville’s since they said their keg accidentally disappeared the day of the event. But looking back at what the GI Rep posted last year a few days before the release, he clearly stated Brewster’s would have Reserve on draft. So I’m not sure I buy that story anymore now that I read the official release again from last year.

 

Don’t believe it. It’s BS. Facts:

1) Brewster’s was always supposed to have a keg of Reserve.

2) No bottles of Reserve in OH. Period.

3) GI reps told Brewster’s they could sell Northwoods bottles to go. 1-pp. Heard the whole discussion between them and bartenders.

4) No banhammer at all. City Works got BCBS Weds this year bc they’re a new location of a chain that has a house beer brewed at GI. They’re one of GI’s biggest NEOH accounts. They outspent almost everyone else and get perks like this.

Can 100% confirm this over any gossip or bullshit.

 

That's my bad, it was Northwoods. But I did hear from a lot of different people also in the industry that saw those sales and said that was a big no-no. GI is okay with bottle sales pre-Black Friday? Because everyone seems to be under the definitive impression that gets you insta-blacklisted.

 

I have no clue what GI corporate or anyone else in your circle of industry players says or thinks. But I was personally there at the bar in Brewster’s when the first patron asked to buy a bottle to-go. I heard the Brewster’s bartender discuss with the GI reps and House of La Rose reps and say it was OK at 1-pp.

 

Thank you. It sounded a little weird that with a release this magnitude for the first time in Ohio, an account would accidentally get one of the rarest variants. And that the same place would somehow get bottles of Reserve when no one else in the state did.

 

Anyone got info for the release in Columbus? I've called a few Giant Eagles and Whole Foods and don't have any info yet.

 

Usually just pops up everywhere Friday. Hell I found mine last year at a random Meijer with no fanfare

 

Does anywhere in the Youngstown area see it?

 

Looking for the variants though. I grabbed BCBS at a random Giant Eagle last year, but I wish I would have tried harder for Northwoods.

 

I’d be surprised if Vintage Estates doesn’t get it.

Well there’s only been 1 year of it being available in Ohio, they seem to get a lot of things so I figured they’d get it.

 

If City Works is the Wed. spot (in addition to Tremont Tap House), they sure arent telling anyone. I've looked at their social media and have squat for details.

 

You won’t see me there, but Market District Strongsville is selling bottles on Nov.30 starting at 8am. Not sure about draft

 

Date is wrong. This is the official Cleveland black Friday location this year.

 

They have a post from Friday with the details. They will have regular, wheat wine, orange midnight and vanilla.
