Vanilla Rye is by far the best vanilla stout I've ever had. Its certainly worth every penny and worth the hunt.

Agreed. Had it on draft at Audubon last night. Simply incredible. I am looking forward to sharing my bottle with my fiancée soon.

@mattosgood if we ever cross paths I'd happily hand off 2 bottles of last year's BCBBW to you. It's an excellent beer.

I'll take that as an affirmation we have similar approaches to this all. Cheers. I'd gladly accept. I'm a stout/barleywine drinker October-March. Not sure where you are in MA, but we could work things out!

Yes, we are. I picked up a 4-pack of BCBS nonchalantly today at Wegman's Chestnut Hill. They had cases if anyone is interested.

While I'd love vanilla and coffee (coffee being one of my favorite beers ever) I can't kill myself driving all over MA searching for some. God bless the rest of you doing this. Drink well and be sure to share. Cheers!

I still see cases of 2013 bcbs around at many places....BCBS is a great line of beers but not worth waking up that early for IMO. To each his own though.

The regular is going to be easy to find for a bit - I stopped at three shops on Friday and two yesterday - each had cases of regular and quite a bit of barley wine.

I also heard that certain distros didn't get any coffee (south half of Boston metro area) and this thread calling out shops seems to reflect that. Do you think these stores are simply skunked for the year or do you think more will drop in the coming weeks like last year?

At any store that only gets say a case of coffee or vanilla, I sort of assume that employees end up with all of it. Even if the owner/manager limits them to a 4pk or bottle each. No proof or even rumors, just a guess.

I did a little BCS hunting on Saturday while I was down in MA. Based on the few bottle shops I stopped at it sounds like far north of Boston (Andover Lowell area) didn't get their variants yet but they are expecting some this week. I heard that same story from a few people. I'm not sure if it's wishful thinking on their part or not...

Lol I like that.... I think you just coined a term that should be thrown around these parts more often.

Did Table & Vine, and the rest of Western MA (save Cooper's in Noho) already get and release the variants or is it on a delay like last year?

Hit like 4 or 5 stores yesterday- only saw regular BCBS. I am going to hit some again today as I know some people were hearing variants on Monday. Surprised I didn't see any BW at all. Anyone still seeing some in the Boston area?

Blanchards in Allston has cases of the regular, limit 2 4 packs per person. Of course they are marked up to a whopping $26 each.

I got mine at Walsh's in Brighton, only $21, limit one 4 pack per person. Last one on the shelf, not sure if there were more. Asked about the variants and he said they hadn't gotten them in.

Comm Ave wine and spirits had one four pack in the cooler. Not sure about price.

Some were releasing earlier and I also heard that some were releasing this week (Mon-Wed.)

Has anyone checked Whole Foods in Hadley? Obviously they aren't push AB stuff, but they usually have a fair amount of GI bottles.

Marty's Newton posted on twitter they got Vanilla Rye and BW (as well as regular) today about two hours ago. Updated on facebook to say Vanilla was already gone. Hoping this means that other local spots will be getting their variants in today as well.

Fort Point Market has about 5 cases of the regular if anyone hasn't found it. Right next to Trillium to boot. 24$

Just wondering if anyone knows where to find more 4-packs of the Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout around the Boston Area. Was only able to get a single out of a 4-pack and I want more.
