OK, so all of you finding it...are you in western MA? If so, I am less concerned.

Lukes in Rockland had regular last week (per q tweet, I never saw it). Pembroke liquors had 1 case of regular yesterday.

I've poked around a bit in Boston and haven't found anything. Was hoping to luck out!

Boston distro is different than the rest of the state - last year the timing was later in Boston as well

Western MA checking in - just stopped at Cooper's, out of vanilla rye, decent amount of everything else left. Also have some '12 and '13 regular out as well.

Really? I wonder if they've been sitting on them this whole time, or just got some. Regardless, that is nice of them to allow someone to do a very small little 3 year vertical if they so choose.

Not sure if they just had some leftovers. One of the owners is a big stout fan, and when we were chatting yesterday she told me that BCBS is one of her favorites, so maybe she ends up stashing whatever extras there are. Its a great shop.

Supposedly the distributor is recalling it.

Not to be off topic, but the owner of Cooper's/State Street is not anyone who works in the liquor store. And the managers of both stores are men. The staff is pretty knowledgeable and helpful so they can give off the impression that they are the beer buyers.

As far as the older vintages go, sometimes it's extra that was leftover (ex. someone called to reserve it and never picked it up) and sometimes they stash a few away for such occasions. In this case, I hear the manager brought in some of his personal collection to offer for sale.

Apparently one of the palates of regular BCBS may have had a storage issue with temperature and/or condensation variance and they don't want to take any chances of something being wrong with the bottles, so some of the regular BCBS might be picked up and hopefully swapped out. I just spoke with someone who bought a BCBS from Cooper's last night, drank it, and said it was awesome, so I'm not worried about it.

All this talk is driving me crazy and making me very jealous...I'm in the Merrimack Valley, my town has two stores that carry GI, they're both getting one case of BCBS, no variants, and they're gonna put it on the shelf Friday morning. End of story.

I called a local shop that still has 2013 on the shelf. They had no idea whether they would get any for Friday. Seemed clueless.

maybe not furious, but pretty upset to hear that i was expecting them to be out on friday so i didnt plan to even look this week when they are already out all over the place and now my chances of getting vanilla will be reduced.

Seems like it has come and gone in the Hyannis area. No one got variants. Wonder if they will come Friday or next week...

I'm a Bourbon County newcomer, but I have to admit to being surprised at the clamoring for the variants more than the regular stout. I had the regular and the coffee last year and I thought the former was much better. Then I read posts drooling about the vanilla rye and thinking, "Have at it! I'll stick to the original."

I guess I'm even more surprised not much has been said about the barleywine. Barrels in year one held bourbon, year two they had the stout, year three was the BW. Sounds f'in delicious to me.
