Bourbon County on the shelf

    I know a shop that held a few cases and has been putting up a few bottles periodically. It's like $7 a bottle. They also put out some 2013 a while ago so i grabbed two.

    Nope, but wait a couple months... the newest release is soon.

    I did have a store do a special release a couple months back, but it was a one time thing with a huge line. The beer is definitely not a shelf turd around here!

    Since Black Friday 2014, two stores in my area have had Bourbon County "restocked" as they put it. One had an actual Bourbon County event, placing all the varieties they had on Black Friday for sale. Surprisingly, prices were the same as on Black Friday.

    I bought a 2012 single Saturday for 8.99. It was a cellar sale so I also grabbed a FW 14. This was in Rhode Island, btw

    I've never seen it on sale beyond the end of november to be honest..but i don't try too hard either.

    Regular BCS makes it to the shelf often enough. The other ones, not so much.

    BCBS isn't a shelf beer in my area. People lined up at bevmo for regular and camped out for variants.

    Saw a couple 4packs of BC BBW on the shelf at a store in SoCal for $49.99. Had to pass.

    I've never seen BCBS, let alone the variants, last on any shelf in my area. It typically sells out within hours of release actually.

    Last time that bourbon county was a shelf turd was in 2012. Then shit got crazy and everyone wanted it. Now this year goose island put it in a fancy bottle and relabeled it going away with 4 pack format. This Novemeber release there will probably be riots. GI needs to put every bourbon county product into 4 pack format! That is the only way to keep beer nerds from rioting.:rolling_eyes::astonished::wink:
