Bourbon County on the shelf

yeah i have four 2013 BCBS, five 2014 BCBS and two 2014 BCBBW in my cellar lol. usually it sells out within a few hours out here in the central valley, but i remember seeing a post on a local craft beer FB page with cases and cases of BCBS, BCBCS and BCBBW sometime between december of last year and january of this year. something like $28 a 4-pack

 

I didn't have much trouble finding it on the shelves in Mass a couple of weeks after it came out. The distro on this beer is so strange. From what I've been told by shop owners it is based solely on the amount of regular goose island beers you move, and those you can't seem to give away down here. You might consider trying some stores you don't normally go to. Still, I bet you will have an easy enough time trading with someone from the Northeast to get it. I even stumbled across the Vanilla Rye on the shelf last year, but that is rare.

Yeah, I live in Brooklyn and randomly every few months I'll see a 4 pack of BCBS pop up. Also happens at Wholefoods in NYC now and then. About 6 months back Carmine Street Beer randomly got a few 4 packs of 2013 BCB BW, so that was a nice find.

 

The answer is no. I myself, have never seen bourbon county anything in any store. I have often wondered if I am missing it because it's released around thanksgiving and I walk everywhere so I stop going to the shop so much in the winter.

 

oh, i was in a store two summers ago that still had single bottles of bourbon county on the shelf in august. It was next to brown university called spiritus fermenti. they said theyve just been sitting there collecting dust

 

4 4packs. I didn't feel like too much of a hoarder. The girlfriend at the time didn't understand why I was breaking into a happy dance.

 

Saw some 2014 sitting behind the counter here in Orlando a couple months ago and convinced the clerk to sell one to me. $8.99.

 

There are cases still available in NY

 

Never seen it on the shelf here. Want to though!

 

Two years ago cases hung around in Milwaukee for at least 6 weeks. Last year it was gone within two weeks. Interesting to see the distribution shifts on BCBS as their footprint grows.

 

I saw one bottle one time significantly after the release. And it was marked $1.95 or something like that. I bought it.

I'm a moron (AKA- willing to pay that price) who happens to be up in Sheboygan all the time. Which store are you referring to? I always scour Superior Discount Liquors on 8th street since it's just down the street from my parents place and found some Big John there a year or so ago, was pretty excited. But as of last weekend Discount didn't have any BCBS or BCBCS

 

Jakes Liquor. 2019 S Business Dr. They also had DFH WW Stout for $20 and 120 min IPA for $22. The BCBS were 12 oz bottles, not bombers either.

You could always wait 67 days and get almost tripple for your money if 9.99 for reg is accurate this year
