thanks for the head's up BA's. a bit of a tangent from BCS Sightings, but what are you gonna do.

 

Just came back from the Bridge Bar. They only had a sixth barrel of Black Note and we were told that it was almost gone. $12 for about 8-10 oz., served in a standard glass. Great tap list though, with very nice staff - worth checking out in the future. GDDC, Black Note were the highlights. They also have fresh Dreadnaught ($12!) and Arctic Panzer Wolf (also $12!) on draft.

 

We still have bottles available of 2011 and a few of 2010 for in house consumption www.eagleriverinn.com. @FitzRestaurant. Also, KH, Bramble, Juliet and Lolita.

I still have two bottles of Double Daisy Cutter bottled from a few months back. I held onto one for a couple months last time around and thought it tasted delicious after a few months.

Three Aces is going to tap out of their BCBS tonight, so hit it up while you can. Scarlet likely tapping soon thereafter but not definitive.

 

^^ was there another BCS barrel tapped? i thought it was done with a few days ago, followed by scarlet any day now? good seeing some BA's at Bridge Bar for Black Note....turns out my drinks were on the house.

 

How did you pull that off?

 

the other gentlemen were there before me of course, when they got their tab and saw it. they scored because (please correct me) the bar didn't either count all their notes, or they counted their notes as galactic, thus cheaper tab. so that was good on them. 20 minutes after they left, i asked for my tab. bar tender said he included it on the other tab. which...they didn't ( i think) because after they originally added it up, was less than they originally thought. the bartenders definitely didn't keep a tally. or i owe someone a beer.

 

Dammit, I need to watch this thread better.

did anyone go to brixies last week? they had bcs on tap. sorry a little late on it. i forgot about it. was just curious if they had other stuff there.

 

It was briefly mentioned earlier that vanilla had kicked and regular was on tap now since I think Monday? Anyway the place was packed though I sat right at the taps and while I was there only I ordered it. There are a lot of great beers there though. They expect to tap out tonight, and the bartender said he wasn't sure if they had the Scarlet yet but it may tap soon if they do.

 

^ ah yeah, you're right. confused my variant. well if anyone knows when scarlet taps, please let us know or BM. what a great beer.

 

they left like 4 beers off of our tab (2 black notes and 2 GDDC). the beers were pricey at $10 and $12 each, so that cut about $45 off of our bill. made it very worth it.

 

Three Aces still has a very small amount of BCBS on tap. I am going out of town for the evening otherwise I would go down there later just to see if it gets replaced with Scarlet.

 

They have Scarlet for sure and will be tapping it in the next few days.
