That pic is absolutely gorgeous. Is that all the same vintage? Would love to hear the story of the looks you got from the sales person that rang this order up. Hopefully the flood of BCBS in the Midwest right now means good things for NoVA. Two cases no longer sounds out of reach.

Thanks for the Hyvee tip. Girlfriend was heading out that way for a party and she ended up getting some for me. Now I'll be able to enjoy some once I get to Germany!

I turned down taking more than one four pack. I got way to much... Did anyone else see a second wave hit?

    [Edit: Whatever...]
At about ~400 calories a bottle, that's 136,200 calories, or about ~46 pounds.

I was just trying to characterize that photo in a new light, given how utterly ridiculous it was.

Ridiculous? He hails from a craft beer family...rife with cousins, uncles, and fathers. He also gave away a bunch of his beer and therefore is entitled to buy disproportionate amounts of a highly demanded release and then act surprised when there is a negative response to not only being a vulture but instigating others with a photo of it in an "aw shucks, looks like I was able to grab a case or 17" manner.

Gonna go ahead and defend the guy, as I am pretty sure he instigated nothing. Has anyone in these forums seriously missed out on getting BCBS? Because if so you are lazy or just plain cannot afford it, which is no one's fault but your own, no offense. I can tell you a few places that have it in the Chicagoland right this moment.

Your comment was pretty much the most negative response to his post in this thread. All that said, 17 cases is by far excessive. By comparison, I have about 4 cases and I hardly tried at all past release day when it was a shitstorm. After that, I found it everywhere on my regular beer runs.

The negative response was almost entirely directed at the decision to post a picture of it with a faux-modest comment about bumping into it a time or two. I still see people in this thread having difficulty finding it, and the average BA is most assuredly not the casual buyer. To be clear, I believe that those who put the most effort into hunting this down, and those that have the means to purchase it, are the ones who should be rewarded with access to it. In the absence of a store limit, I would not even tell someone not to buy out something if they can, though I may not choose to do the same. It may get there relatively soon, but this is still not a beer that sits on shelves for anyone to pick up whenever he or she pleases. If you want to and can hoard, do what you have to do. If you're then going to try to work some folksy attempt at bragging about it, accept the response you know will come.

I've been on that diet plan since the June release! Figure I'm about 15 pounds into it.
