Well this was a hell of a tasting hard to comprehend was done between 5 people so got good amount of each well we started with the vertical and I list:
06 great smell not as much heat as 07 but think this was my favorite
07 still had some heat and great flavor
12 this ranked in third to me was awesome glad i have a lot of bottles
08 was good than 09 and last was 10 which seemed to have fallen off
King Henry was simply the best hands down
Rare was a close second and was also amazing
Coffee is just fantastic one of my all time favorites
Vanillla was pedestrian in comparison don't understand all the hype and what it takes to get a bottle just not worth it
Cherry Rye was pretty good but at this time palate is fatigued
Big John was undrinkable had to drain pour
Night Stalker was very average i find the best Nightstalker I had recently was an aged from 2011
Had some Hoppy Birthday on growler between to break up the barage of bcbs
Pre-game was Hill Farmstead/Grassroots Brother Soigne excellent lime blood orange crisp slight tart
Lawsons Maple Nipple which is nice easy drink
FAVORITE of the tasting is KING HENRY just cant beat

I do this tasting, or something similar depending on what bottles we have around, about once a year, if not more...

...and it's always fun as well as scary for my health.

There's a button below and to the right of the L-key. You should consider using it. Once you become comfortable with that, the key to the left of that one is for more advanced (decent) English speakers.

Seriously, how were your palates not obliterated after the first couple? I would have broken that shit up if you were only tasting between 5 people. Also, splitting a 15% bomber five ways is still the equivalent of two, 12oz 5% beers.

I recently did an 09-12 plus Bramble. It was very tasty but was too much for the palate.

I could only imagine all you did. Also cleaning glasses after wasn't very fun.

This has the feeling of a humblebragfail. Any information that could have been gleaned from a side-by-side tasting of those beers would be completely lost after the third or fourth pour. I don't know how you could properly enjoy King Henry after 6 pours of BCBS.

left off the 11 and yes we did try it
11 was probably too buzzed to remember this one I guess it must not have been the most memorable
really was surprised that the 10 had fallen off so much but the 06 and 07 still had a little heat and was holding up so well possible could have been due to the way they had been stored as I did not bring so could not verify the storing procedure

The last two bottles of 06 I've tried were straight up unpleasant.

I agree with what some have said. Tastings like this make me shake my head. More a waste of good beer when you become fatigued after the first couple of heavy hitters. Epic fail.

Next time you do this, you should reach out to BAs that you don't know that live decently close to you to help out. Too much ABV to enjoy everything.
