Yeah, this exists. Templeton Rye barrels were used in the Properietors and Backyard blends. They have done kegs of Rye before, but they were draft only and I never saw them outside of Goose Island events.

I believe this was served at the brewpub for their Black Friday release event. I am sure some kegs of this will show up at some of their other events. Possibly some kegs will make it out, but I wouldn't expect many.

    Draft only kegs?! Sounds rare!

It was pretty damn good, I hope they have it on draft at Stoutfest or some other special event. The small sample I had was not enough.

Proprietors is a very nice beer. def smoother and a bit more drinkable than the standard BCS, which i find is much better after a couple years.

I've had this at a couple of GI events next to several other variants and it has always been one of my favorites. I've never had it side by side with the regular, but would venture to say I prefer the rye. I think I remember hearing somewhere that most of the rye variants actually contain some rye added to the base beer.
