    Bought 4 of each. *shrug*

How many is a "professional" vs "amatuer" amount so I know for future purposes to keep people not "unhappy"?

    Thanks

Brooklyn Harvest Union off the G subway has BCBS already on the shelf, they don't have a lot on the shelf, but apparently there is a decent amount in the 'back'. The guy is always really friendly with me, so rather not ruin that, so just say you 'read somewhere' haha.

I was talking to a distributor for Goose Island today. He said it is illegal for any liquor store to be selling BCBS before December 1st because of some $/distribution conflicts with the state. It probably won't be sold anywhere this week at all... If someone is selling it in NJ, they could possibly lose their liquor license.

That store is the absolute worst. Definitely not 2015 bcbs because it hasnt even been distributed yet. His markups are insane and last year he told me (without me asking by the way) that he had coffee but I would need to buy like 50 dollars worth of other beer to get one bottle.

Some store in paramus new jersey has barleywine and regular. 1 BW / 2 Regular per person. Let's keep posting stuff like this here :stuck_out_tongue:

I'd say you leave some for the next person, regardless of limits and how many are available to purchase. You'll learn that when you get shut out of beer you spent a lot of energy pursuing. There was undoubtedly someone who entered that store after you that day who left with 0 bottles because you wanted 8 for yourself. That's beer advocacy 101

Any idea of what expected pricing on Rye should be? Top Hops claims they'll be selling it for $12.99/bottle, but every other source has it around $30. Top Hops is rarely so far off, and they also have never given "Black Friday Discounts" before. Any ideas?

I purchased a bottle, it's on my desk, 2015 BCBS, no price gouging. He's made big strides since last year, and even had the Goose guys there a few months ago with Vanilla for tastings.

Do you have a list or something that shows me what to do and not to do? Like is there some "beer advocacy 101" guide?

Seriously though, I bought a 4 pack of each. I dont see a problem with that. Sorry, not sorry.

Gonna stop by Harvest Market and attempt to validate the above with evidence.

I still do not understand this logic - if they were willing to sell him that much and he wanted to buy it, what makes him a tool? This argument continues to get thrown out as if it's self-evident, but if the store wants to run its stock out to a few consumers instead of making sure a wider breadth of their consumer base gets some, it seems like they are more doing themselves a disservice in the long run than anything else. I mean, bummer that it might mean some folks don't get it, but that isn't the consumer's responsibility.

If anyone comes across cases of regal or coffee for sale let me know. Definitely the two variants I'm interested in

I haven't heard of anyone getting coffee or regal yet. Even if they sold out I'd love to know which stores got it

Places have got it, but are keeping it close. It's weird. NJ sells more than NY, but got shafted hard as sh*t on the good variants. :\

Was just there, plenty of BCBS still available. $10.99. No variants that I saw. Grabbed a Firestone 19 too while there. No hassle, didn't tell me I had to buy anything else.

Thanks - I see now on beermenus they have all the variants listed as "on deck." Coffee and BW for $15.99, Regal for $29.99, and Rare for $79.99. :grimacing:
