I'm not fear mongering in the slightest. I wanted to let people know since I was in the area, plus Top Hops had not tweeted when I wrote this. Try not to accuse people @Franch.

I got some Black Friday last year at Jessup Beverage. He only had 1 case, not sure about this year.

I thought omh was run well. Was able to get everything (except rare, didn't win the raffle) and there were second pours available for all the variants. Prices were maybe $1 more than perfect, but I am guessing they wanted to make sure everyone got some with the smaller pours.

Either way, I have no reason to get up early on Friday now. Coffee was really good, rye was average.

It's whatever the bud distributor is in the area. High Grade, Jersey Eagle, Northern Eagle, etc.

Did you stop by either tonight? I'm just getting finished with a 13 hour work day and could really use some of that coffee now... thinking of stopping by one of them if they're opened.

Coffee was out but they did have 2 regal rye left. Plenty of barley wine and no regular out yet. Open until 12. Regal was $23.

omh was fun. talked to some cool peeps. even got to try rare thanks to a few dudes close by me that won. literally just asked is it worth top hops line, then chatted a lil. within a min or two, passed me his glass. offered them a drink, said no worries. the beer community rules. I don't know if it is worth the line. but it is damn good. really no afterburn. coffee was definitely the standout on tap. regal was good but had higher hopes.

Yeah, Rare is def not worth the wait. Super hot and too much barrel. The best BCBS this year is regular...

What about all the other places supposedly getting the variants? Top Hops just changed their event stating they're receiving less - and only 150 people will get the "package."

Either way, this year seems to be a bit of a crazy, trade-hoarding fueled one. Still hoping to find a least a bottle or two of Coffee and Rye, but the outlook is grimm.

Does the Pittsburgh area (or perhaps even north or Pittsburgh area) get BCBS? I'm home for the holidays. Willing to do a drive and wake up early, although camping out for beer is not in my immediate future haha
