Let me rephrase because part of my statement was an assumption, I was told by a big name store that "the distributor in our area did not receive any variants, only regular bcbs" being that their normal distro is hunterdon I assumed they meant them, could be that it's someone else distributing BCBS to central nj but regardless of who it is doesn't look like we're getting any variants :slight_frown:

You do know every store deals with multiple distributors on a daily basis right? And if it's a big store, Hunterdon is probably who actually sells the least volume in the store.

The point is not who the distributor is! the point is that central nj is most likely not getting variants. jeez, is everyone cranky because it's Sunday morning and we're hungover? :stuck_out_tongue:

Central NJ probably didn't get any variants because of High Grade's classically inept handling of craft beers. The only craft brand they carry that has never had any real problems is Victory.

Any word on south jersey yet? When it will be hitting the shelves? I heard everything from this Monday or possible next Monday. Any word on regal hitting SNJ? I saw on the thread Fairfield got it.

Other than the Cherry Hill/Berlin/Mt Laurel area, I don't know of any place else that gets variants. Rio Grande Canal last year only got BW, and every other store in the shore area just got regular. Berlin Canals had one case of coffee last year. Didn't hear of any vanilla around, maybe total wine got one case? Or if someone did, it didn't make it past employees or regular rsvps.

Those counties are covered by Harrison Distro., so maybe (maybe) they had better treatment and received variants. High Grade's area got BCBS, Coffee, and Barleywine last year, but that was in the 12oz era.

I'd be curious to know the total Goose Island numbers state-wide, because that may have had an effect on the allocation of variants to the state. I can tell you without any hesitation that the last Goose Island beer I purchased was the 2014 BCB series that NJ saw, so clearly I've been no help.

Only territories that have seen Regal Rye is Northern eagle. Know a couple stores covered by Jersey Eagle that got VR last year that only got regular, coffee and barley.

WF Columbus Circle is still pouring all of the variants, FYI.

That seems like the problem since Whole Foods turned over most of the beer people a couple months ago. The people currently stocking the shelves with exception of the person doing the ordering has no clue about beer.
