Bourbon County Vanilla Rye LCBO Release Nov 27th

    Confirmed. The LCBO Summerhill location will be releasing bottles of Bourbon County Vanilla Rye on Friday, November 27th when the store opens at 9:30am. 1 bottle limit per person. $35.

    Very interesting considering they didn't make vanilla rye this year!

    Yup. Typical LCBO....they like to age everything for us! Especially IPA's.......

    Perhaps there will be a full Bourbon County release next year......I think GI is just throwing the LCBO a bone here.

    There were rumours that we would be getting BCBS this year in BC but the stupid abv taxation stuff likely prevented that. Or it was just never going to happen in the first place.

    I think that every taxpaper that supports the LCBO deserves to know about whatever limited releases are coming out. Especially the people that are part of a beer-centric community, such as this one. I don't think that these oppourtunities should be limited to a few people in-the-know. Do you have to a friend that works at the LCBO to know about this? Who should be allowed to know about this? Who should determine who should be allowed to know about this?

    Whatever.

    The best ways to handle releases such as this is by lottery IMO. At least you have the option to line-up for this. What about people outside of the GTA?

    I'm on the fence. I live up the street, so if I go at 3 AM and the line is too long to expect I can get a bottle, I can get back to bed pretty quickly. I enjoyed the line at Laird when Westvleteren was released; nice bunch of people around me. Bah! Who is kidding whom? I'll end up going....

    I don't know. I got to the Westy release at Laird at about 6:00 if memory serves and I was closer to the last guy who got a ticket than the first.
