This. If we can find Bourbon County year round in a year or two then we all win.

Can someone please tell me where in the Chicago Land area, there is BCBS variants sitting on shelves? I have yet to see these on shelves, so I can buy it up.

Well KBS fresh is much better to me, but BCBS ages better. Cellar that bottle for a couple of years and you will know what I mean, 2009 BCBS is drinking great right now.

Agree on the 2009 comment. Comparing KBS and BCBS though - apples and oranges. One is a coffee stout with slight bourbon characteristics - one is a bourbon monster that makes KBS feel thin.

Can't wait until next year since Mr. Laffler has left, and if this causes the quality to go down (some other dude(s) doing the blending now?), the pitchforks will come out...making the popcorn a year in advance for this one.

This. I had 3 vintages of BCBS, and I only reviewed the 2009. Except for the look of it being a little flat, I literally couldn't fault it. Everything mixed together in perfect harmony. Very excited to be getting a bunch of 2012 soon, planning on letting it sit for at least 3 years.

was it really the sale to InBev that prompted Laffler leaving or that he has been talking for the last couple years about opening up his own brewery?

I imagine the decision was more complex than InBev taking over, but that had to be a contributing factor.

I'm in Canada and I just bought 8 off Halftime's website. That should explain how easy this is to get... Love the beer though!

You can't wait until those of us who enjoy BCBS won't be able to enjoy it any more? You might want to see somebody about that.

My expression? Yes, yes I do, since I wrote it. However your reply is nonsensical. I'm just going to assume English isn't your first language? That is, nowhere did I write that I was hoping that the quality of BCS would go down in my original missive.

Well, I looked up the meaning of these quotes, and would you be surprised to find out that I was right, you are wrong, and that English may not be any of your languages, let alone first?"Can't wait until next year" ",the quality to go down", :astonished:

Is the word "IF" invisible on your screen between those two parts? :astonished: Starting to think I'm being trolled here...

In any case, fine I give up, I'm too busy for this, read it however you wish- I'm sitting here waiting giddily with joy while cackling gleefully in hopes that the quality of BCS goes down so everyone can suffer, nothing would bring me greater joy, you are 100% correct.
