Hello, all. I searched the forum but did not find anything recent. I am going to be in Bowling Green in a couple of weeks. Is there much (if any) 3 Floyds distribution there? If so, what can I reasonably expect to find? Looks like Chuck's is the best bet for bottle shopping, according to score and number of ratings, so I hope to pay them a visit. Any other local beer recommendations would be great! I don't know anything about KY breweries.
What shows up week-to-week varies. This week, Lexington got nada, so KY will probably not be getting much. Next week could be totally different.
Wino's and Liquor Mart are your best bet for finding 3 Floyd offerings in BG. As IMFletcher mentions, what comes into the area definitely varies in both timing and selection. As for local beer, limited options, especially packaged. My favorite regular packaged offering was West Sixth's IPA. Country Boy would sometimes send their experimental IPA's on draft (each with a different hop showcase) that was really good; I'd say their Alpha Experiment IPA with Mosaic was probably my favorite Kentucky beer I tried while their this past year. I generally bought out of state beers though. Prairie, Sixpoint, Founders, and Bells were my go-to's. Rhginegeist would have been too had they not entered the market only once I was getting ready to leave.
Oh, I had forgotten about Sixpoint! I live near the VA border, so I have access, but the store has very limited inventory.
