    Hey all,

I just had a box stolen off my porch yesterday. I got a text that it was delivered and left at my door. Got home a couple hours later and it was gone. Asked the neighbors, etc.. and nothing panned out. Just curious if anyone else has ever had this happen to them? I thought my neighborhood was safe and trustworthy but I guess not. I'm more sad than mad at this point. Lost out on some good stuff and now i know someone in my community sucks and steals my wanted beer. lol

    Live and learn right?

Update: Before everyone flips a shit..I know I should've asked to have the package be signed for but it slipped my mind. Either way I never thought someone would take a box off my porch.

Have you called FedEx/UPS? Ask to speak to the manager of the local delivery hub. Often boxes will be delivered to places blocks away.... If you have not already, ask them to have the driver double check.

Sorry.... This situation always sucks... Good luck, Toby.

Yeah, definitely give them a call. I had a box that showed up on tracking as being delivered to me, yet it never was as I was home the whole time. I'm guessing the driver was just lazy and never actually delivered it. I ended up getting the box the next day.

I called them and they "put a trace" on it. Whatever that means. I was home about 2 hours after it was delivered and it was gone. I called last night and haven't heard back yet. I'm hoping they come up with something. I really wanted to try the cali stuff but no luck so far. I'll keep this updated as they don't fix it...i mean attempt to find it.

Something similar happened to me. UPS had delivered it the same numbered house 2 blocks over. They brought it over the next day. Don't lose hope...

This is why I have my stuff shipped to my workplace.

Pretty sad situation. Sorry to hear it.

I wish I could. I teach at a University. Not sure the department head would approve of me getting boxes of beer on a dry campus lol

My preference is for the trader to ship boxes to me via FedEx. At no charge, they hold on to my packages at my local FedEx Office about 1/2 mile away. No anxiety about boxes being stolen, etc. It's hard to screw up a delivery to their own shop.

Sounds like you don't suspect the neighbors. Maybe send another package via FedEx to yourself and set up a camera, catch the mofo in the act, then you can have future bottleshares together and make them bring better beers than yourself or more beers to serve as penance for this.

In all seriousness, yea it's probably the neighbors.

Lol. I went door to door searching for my damn beer. No one has seen it of course. Go figure.

Next option: The day your trash/recycling guys come, do a little ride along and keep an eye out for empties. Unless they are beer hoarders.

As others said it is more likely it never got delivered to your house than it being stolen.

FedEx, UPS, and esp. USPS have been known to deliver packages blocks away at the same address number. If you really trust your neighbors, then my guess is that's the likely explanation.

Why in the world would you open the box at work.

I wouldn't open it at my job but with my luck it would break and leak or open up for whatever reason.

This happened to me. First time I had a box shipped to my work one of the bottles leaked and it was soaked in Parabola. Thankfully, I'm the one in charge but there's always that chance of others not being too fond having alcohol shipped to a workplace, especially if it's a dry campus

How do you arrange that? I was told that it had to be shipped to me first, and then you could redirect it to a FedEx location once it's in transit; in other words, you just can't have it sent to the FedEx place right off of the bat. I never tried to do that, but was wondering how it could be redirected and how the process is authorized.
