myself and six buddies will be visiting Nashville in mid April. The only object of the trip is having fun, no other commitments while in town. I'm looking for feedback about good bars to hang out at, ones that have dart boards would be great. I'll be looking out for good taps we don't get in MI but will probably be downing my fair share of Lite as well since I don't want to go horizontal too early. Any input of where to go and what to do during mid April would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and cheers!
If you're in East Nashville, check out The Hop Stop. Hops and Crafts in The Gulch is also good. Here is a good link to get you started. I generally agree with their reviews. http://nashvilleguru.com/category/guides-drink
Depends on where you are staying , but Craft Brewed has craft beer and darts and one of the best food trucks in town , Thunderbird wings. Also Flying saucer always has a bunch of taps and you never know what you might see. Gotta make sure to get some hot chicken and check out peg leg porker for the best dry rub ribs ever.
This link from BA may help you find some good places to visit: http://www.beeradvocate.com/place/city/68/
Hop stop, craft brewed, and the bottle stop at mcewan are all excellent. Brewery wise yazoo and jackalope are both awesome to visit or tour. The pharmacy is also pretty cool for sausage and burgers
Yazoo is the big one in the area with some really solid brews, BUT!!!! You need to find some beers from "Calf-Killer".. it's a tiny brewery about 40 min east of Nashville that is pumping out some incendiary brews!! THeir Scorned(not scorched) Hooker is perhaps my fave beer in the region, when it's available. I'm brewin' 18 batches in 3 months right now for my mantrip up to ohio in June... be glad to bring you some freebies to nashville... have 4 fermenting and two conditioning at the same time right now... but again.. CALF KILLER!
Hilarious. I'm doing the same thing in a few days. A hand full of dudes from MI->Nashville. Is this like when Edward Norton wasn't sleeping in Fight Club?
Hop Stop is great, but REALLY small. Flying Saucer has a huge selection on tap and in bottles, plus you are right downtown and can hit other things. Yazoo taproom is fun too.
Some friends and I are going to Dark Lord day in April then heading to Michigan afterwards to visit Founders and Bell's. We will only be in Michigan 1 day, so what else do we need to hit?
Hitting those two spots will be plenty for one day. There isn't any other place I'd say you must visit, although Perrin in GR is great for food and brew.
