They've brewed, but not bottled Dorado a few times lately. But it seems to be a dumping ground for other hops. Not the 100% crystal hops of years gone by. I hope this beer lives upto it's legacy.

Hopefully it's better than the last draft batch they did which was really boozy.

Uh oh.... If Sculpin is ~8-9$ a bomber, what's this going to go for?

Haha, no shit huh. Simtra is $9.99. How far can BP push it? BA Stout pricing for an IPA?

This beer has been so incredibly inconsistent it's difficult to give a damn about this news.

Yes, absolutely this. Last time I had it, it was like... boozy mango / peach fruitiness. Really strange.

I spoke to James Murray, Lead Brewer Scripps Ranch, a week or so ago and he said that they haven't made much the last couple of years because "a certain East Coast brewery dominates the market for Crystal hops and it gets too expensive". He said they managed to get a ton this year which is allowing them to produce a lot this year and offer bottles. The Dorado went in the Brewhouse on May 27th and they though it would be ready 3 weeks or so after that; and they are expecting a huge line at the brewery when they release it.

    For whatever that's worth.

I'll believe it when I taste it. Colby at the HBM location makes fantastic beer. When beers are 'promoted' to the main brewery they have a history of ignoring the true recipe and doing whatever they want, which generally results in a subpar version. I hope it's FG. Due to the low AA of crystal hops, it takes a TON to make DD, more hops = more beer lost to hop slurry. DD is not cheap to make.
However, they have corrected Sculpin, so there is hope.

Got some today. Didn't taste like the last batch (which was super tropical.)
    It's pretty good.
