I don't know if any of you are familiar with Freddy of Bev4Less in San Diego, but this guy seems to be turning into the Freddy of Orange County. I've had many of the same experiences that you all have described. A couple weeks ago he posted that he had just got Pliny and Dorado and since I was in the area I grabbed a bottle of each. But I was dumb and didn't check the dates since I figured if he just got them in they must be fresh. Well the Pliny was about a month old which is fine really but I had bought a bottle of that same batch weeks before. So obviously he didn't "just get it in" and I'm guessing he just pulls stuff out now and then and claims that it just came in. Same with the Dorado, the batch was over a month old.

I was already a bit sour on the guy as he hassles me about my ID every time I go in. Yeah I look young, and yeah it's an old picture, but how many times do I have to shop there before you remember who I am? Oh well, more reasons not to support this place.

Go and collect the money he made selling your beer.

It's unfortunate that Pliny is 6.99 or more at various shops now. When I see it at that price, I just go with something else out of principle.

ZombieJester, first, I wanted to thank you for being a customer (at least for a short period), and for thinking about gift out few beers from your cellar! (That was nice of you)! And I consider the principal when you thought about sharing good beers and I totally appreciate it!

Because my favorite beer is different than what you have gave me and didn't want to keep it until not fresh anymore, that's why I sold it to someone who was looking for good beer and I think he deserve to enjoy some "good stuff", so that make up the difference in price for the Parabola.

    Never meant to irritate!

About the Pliny the Elder, yes, it's a dollar extra than others $6.99, we all know that this is an exceptional beer and hard to get and very limited, in order to have it available for you to enjoy every single week (sometimes twice a week) and keeping an eye on FB to have your bottle on hold for you to pick it up after work and etc... There will be an extra cost.

This is hilarious. No response would have been better then "i gave you a dollar off parabola and then sold the two other beers for 4 dollars a piece" haha

Wow what an awful excuse. If that was remotely true then you should have told ZombieJester when he HANDED YOU THE BEER that you weren't a fan of Pale Ales or Stouts (so you're a fan of what exactly?), and you appreciate his kind thoughts. Instead you take the beer and then sell them? If you had given the beer away this lie would have been better by the way.

First, nobody charges $6.99 for Pliny nearby - try $4.99-$5.50. Your price isn't "a dollar extra", it's $3 extra. I can, and do, purchase it at nearby stores and avoid your location because of that price. Then you try to justify the price gauging because of some effort involved in getting Pliny ("in order to have it available for you to enjoy every single week...")? What? You seriously must think we're all idiots concerning Russian River distribution with the lies you're spinning.

    Used car salesman indeed.

I agree. It would have been better not to respond than respond the way you did. I'm going to be in the area Saturday and was planning to check out your shop for the first time. I'm going to pass now. You never should have sold those beers, period. If you didn't like them, you should have given them away or just declined in the first place.

If Pliny is $8, I can only imagine everything else must be similarly over-priced at your shop. I don't even pay $6.99 at my local shop. I get mine fairly regularly at $5.50 and they treat me very well. I think you also use the phrase "very limited" too liberally. Sure, it's not a shelf beer, but it's regularly distributed around here.

I am going to shoot an email to Vinny up at Russian River, hopefully he can relieve you of the burden of selling such a product. He usually looks down on complete d-bags like you profiteering off of people dumb enough to overpay for such a luxury.

This guy at Bradley's definitely has some shady business practices. I went there last week to pick up a bottle of Parabola and "Aged" Sucaba, (2013 vintage SMFH), shortly after he posted on FB which clearly stated 1 per person per day. However, it didn't mention of choosing one or the other, as these are 2 different beers. Once I got there he said I could only purchase either the Parabola or the Sucaba, not both. I let him know that these were 2 different beers, so I should be able to purchase 1 of each. He smirked at me and proceeded to tell me that a couple of people came in earlier in the day that were able to buy 1 of each, but he wasn't working there to enforce his BS policy .I don't know what this idiot was trying to accomplish by telling me this but one thing is for sure, that visit was my first and last!

Please don't support shops like Bradley's as they price gouge, resell gifted beer, and misinform the consumer.

And selling old product. I know he was selling Pliny bottled in early March late last month (April). Not sure how often this occurs, but PlinyTheYoungest mentioned getting month old Pliny as well.

Im sure Vinny at RR would love to know that you charge people in their final Pliny price for responding to messages on FB about holding beer. At no time do you state this is an additional charge either on your FB or in your store....i wonder if the great folks across the street at TBC know about all the bullshit you are throwing at their customer base who wander over for bottles.

Not to mention the fact that when i handed him both beers he held them up to myself and another customer with the words "these are great beers".....Lolz. I wish he would have declined them, i gave up a fresh gumball head that i have never even tried. .....so much for being nice!
