Staying in Braintree for a few days next week on vacation with my family and was hoping for some beer stop suggestions. In between Thomasland and the Children's Museum I'm hoping to make a few beer runs. Trillium, Castle Island, and Night Shift are on the list . I won't have time for much so looking for a few other musts in the area. (Breweries, beer stores, bars) Also it looks like there is a new brewery right by my hotel opening soon. Anyone have any idea how close Widowmaker is to opening? Cheers!
If you're hitting Trillium in Fort Point, Fort Point Market next door is a must-stop. They are fantastic. There is a small brewery called Barrel House Z in Weymouth which I think is really good. They're a bit different as they're not riding the hop craze wave as other breweries are but really good overall. A nice space, too. I've not heard about Widowmaker's opening in quite some time. It seems like they're close but it's tough to say. I'd recommend hitting them on Twitter - they seem like they're responsive to inquiries. Enjoy your trip, lovely time of year up here in Boston.
Hit Trillium in Canton. Much closer and better parking. CBC Braintree and you are right near bin ends which has a decent selection. Union Brewhouse in Weymouth is one of my favorite spots for beer and they have good food as well. Enjoy your trip.
