A buddy of mine recently traded for a Brandy Papier and when the bottle arrived it had the appropriate color wax, but the label listed the ABV as 14.5% as opposed to the 17% that the Brandy Papier supposedly has. Can anyone confirm if the beer's label says 14.5% or 17%? We are pretty sure it is legit, but would love confirmation from someone in the know before we pop it open. Cheers...
Iirc, they didn't start using unique labels for each treatment until cuir. I'm not 100% on this though, just think I remember reading this somewhere
Your friend's bottle is likely legit. I'm on my phone or else I'd hunt it down, but either here or in the cellar forum I believe there is very recent activity over this topic. Bottle numbers are more important. Look up that thread, there is good info there.
the wax looks good, but there definitely appears to be an additional layer near the cap...but i think that his the pessimists in us thinking there is a problem. i will poke around claaaaaaaaaaaaaaark13, but if you find the thread, please link it here.
wait... cosmicevan is confused between the 25% and 100% barrel-aged versions of a bruery anniversary beer?
