Visited Lucan for Braufest last weekend and have to say the Hopsession will never not be in my fridge. It's really, really good. The hops are perfect. They also have a strong belgian ale in the Templeton barrels that the first batch of Rye Wyne was aged in that is really tasting delicious. Plus there's another batch of Rye Wyne in new barrels. They're doing some good stuff down there.

Anyone see Hopsession on the shelves yet? Im interested to try it, although I thought their last new six pack release was only so-so(coffee stout)

Rye Wyne has hit Iowa, in case anyone was waiting/looking for it.

It is a awesome beer. Hopped like a IPA, but 4.2%. It is a awesome shower beer. Bring a 6-pack, spend the day in the shower and not even get buzzed :-)

I did not have high expectations for Hopsession. 100 Yard Dash, Sheep Head and Moo Joos get solid "C"s in my book. I figured after my first one, I'd use the other 5 for boiling brats in. Boy, I was PLEASANTLY surprised! It is a refreshing IPA with a solid hopped up flavor. Not boozy. A really great tasting beer that begs to be canned and shipped in 12 packs.

    It's a pale ale hopped like a IPA ;-)
