Picked up a sixer of Hopsession the other day. Quite impressive! Light bready malt, great citrus aroma, and 7.99 to boot. Beats out somewhat similiar offerings for me.

Maybe a bigger suprise was the Lake Superior north shore wheat. I havent bought a LSB product in probably five years, but grabbed a single of this. This was a darn good hefe, lots of your typical clove/banana going on. Good to see them put out a new product- Now if they would update their website, its only been since 2006.

Two great offerings for summer. Schell Hefe was bottled today, looking forward to grabbing some if I can find it.

Sounds like a good hot weather and staying active line-up.

Yes, the hopsession is fantastic. A bitter pale ale reminiscent of a cross between Summit EPA and Brau's 100 yard dash.

I can agree with that. I am enjoying it more then Bitter Brewer or Bitter American thus far- good company to be in.

OK, where did you get it? Four Firkins charged me $10.99 for it yesterday.

Tasty beer though, and I would also say I enjoyed it more that BB and BA as it seems a bit crisper which is nice in the summer months.

Four Firkins always has the highest prices in town.

I can think of a few places that top 4F, and none of them have the selection.

If it were 10.99, that would lessen my like for it! Was 8 bucks at Cellars

Yes, and I can think of quite a few places that are cheaper and have just as good a selection if not better.

I really think in order to be a 'session' beer, it needs to be priced affordably, whatever you think that might be. Im not going to session a 11 dollar six pack, no matter the ABV.

If it uses a good amount of hops, I may pay close to the same. I have always had a hard time when Stone IPA and Levitation are next to each other at the same price though. Word is (I've heard, don't quote me) Levitation uses Golden Promise for a bit more backbone which would increase the cost. And, other breweries also will use higher quality base malts for session beers so that can be part of the cost. With all of that said I "really" could care less about ABV when buying beer. Small session ales are harder to brew, so if it is a good one I actually appreciate it more.

I do get 10% off at 4F which typically brings their prices in line...just not in this instance I guess.

Oh, and I forgot...$10.99 for a Minnesota brew is my main issue here.

Solid points. Biggest issue i have is a 4% brew typically goes down pretty easy, guy could wipeout a sixer in an afternoon pretty easily. My pockets dont run deep enough if said beer is 11 bucks. More of my issue then anything.

Sadly, on a nice sunny day a sixer of 7% IPA can also go down easy...the result is just different

Anybody that is charging $8 is only making a quarter a six pack. Please disclose this location so everybody can take advantage of their stupidity

Do you work for a distributor or retailer? If so, please let me know which one and I'll make sure to ask you the price of every beer on the market so I know which stores are stupid and I can frequent those. I'll also let the store know that the distributor or retailer you work for thinks they're stupid too.
