as you may know Braufactum distributes many breweries incl. Firestone Walker and Brooklyn.

Now, Braufactum puts on their back label on these bottles incl. a best-by date.
Fortunately FW puts their bottling date on the front label,so i was able to compare.

FW says its hoppy beers should be drunk within 120days

the BBD of the Pale 31 exceeds FWs freshness date by 300days.
With the Union Jack its 400 days.
In the case of the Double Jack it was 600days

i informed Braufactum and FW on this.

No answer from Braufactum,FW got back immediately:

"Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. I have forwarded your email to our owners and brewmaster and they are taking it very seriously and will handle the matter from here. We would never want people to be turned off of our beers by drinking old product, as we fully advocate that fresh beers matter, so again, thank you for informing us about this. "

FWIW, German imports to the US which have best by dates use 365 days for their best by dates. For a large number of German imports (e.g., Schlenkerla) there is no dates whatsoever. I am not saying that you should be happy with dates like 300 days, 400 days, and 600 days but they are indeed better than no dates whatsoever.

    Cheers!
