Braunbier style?

    Alt is called such because it's the old style of beer -- it's also top fermented like Kölsch.

    Remember going to a Jack’s Abbey tap takeover in the late 2000s or early 2010s and they had a small variety of “Berliner Braun” beers. Some with fruit, some barrel aged.

    I've usually found "Braunbier" pretty similar to Franconian "Dunkel",which are usually lighter in Colour than Munich-style Dunkel.

    I saw this post you made in the German vs. Local thread, but it answers one of the original questions I asked in this thread about any other American breweries labeling beers as Braunbier.

    Looks like Schilling is a brewery that does, which for them to be referencing a more obscure European style or sub-style does not surprise me.
