Can we get any sort of compilation of who is doing these in the northeast?

Notch, Oxbow, Austin Street. Who else? Where can I find some?

I haven’t tried the beer yet, but we should be doing our jobs at Beer “Advocates” to buy these when we can. If we are advocating for a fair, equitable, and supportive industry, we should be doing our part. It’s literally the least we can do.

Oh shoot I couldn’t find this on the mobile version. Maybe I’m dumb? I assume the social media link took me elsewhere. Thank you.

Not surprising to see Perkiomen Valley Brewing (Green Lane, PA) on the list. Their beer is just okay, but the owners are very community driven with their focus on accessibility at the brewery. I was just there on Sunday with some friends for some afternoon beers.

Would love to try some of the other versions. I got some canned in the Notch monthly subscription when it 1st came out and have since had it multiple times on draft at Notch Brighton.....way better on draft.

There might be more. Part of doing the collab is creating a code of conduct and that's taking breweries time. Additionally, this has got to be one of the reasons fewer breweries have signed up for this than you'd hope. There's accountability involved. Which...you know...says a lot about the breweries not doing this collab.

Ive agreed with you on this in other forums and I will here too. It’s something that can’t be just performative, which is a great way to safeguard it from being a release that breweries can’t hock as “Look we love women too! Come buy Brave Noise and our other beers too.” But it also means less folks will do it.

It’s already frustrating to see how eager people are to get back into the mix with offending breweries (even alleged). It’s kind of like how my kids will listen to me rant and then be like, “Okay are you done?” and continue their behavior. That’s what these people did with certain breweries. Noise died down, they changed nothing, and it’s back to normal. Too many great breweries to support, in my opinion. And kudos to the ones on this list.

Curious of your thoughts on Averie Swanson spending time at Hill and brewing a beer with Hill/Shaun. I know you’re a fan of her Keeping Together beers and one would imagine she was aware of these allegations going into this visit/collaboration.

Just getting around to seeing the post.

And I’m a fan of her as a person too. I think it’d be foolish to try to police who can hang with who. Your question seemed to revolve around the boldfaced quote of mine, so I guess that’s what your most curious about.

That was directed toward the beer drinkers who, after a few days of defense of SH, just decided they’re okay with drinking their beers. I’m all for that. Do you. Not for me. Maybe Averie has spoken with him about it. Maybe their conversation went beyond what his social media reaction was. Maybe it was ignored completely. Idk. Love Averie. Love her beers. People can make up their own minds.

It was only from a from a few hours ago, but I appreciate the response.

“I think it’d be foolish try to police who can hang with who.”

Wouldn’t that actually be more important than policing what beer people are drinking?

And right, people can make up their own minds, beer drinkers and industry people alike. Seems like you’re okay with it too when it’s convenient since it’s someone you know who has access to Shaun, but the beer drinkers don’t get that same access so they’re shit out of luck.

I imagine you’ll be passing on this bottle if it were to come your way. Or maybe you won’t tell anyone you’re drinking it.
