Breakfast Stout

It is not that there is anything wrong with some FBS with some age on it per se but when you compare it to the magical, mystical experience when it is fresh it is just hard to drink it when it has aged a bit.

 

Does this find its way to Madison WI? I really look forward to giving it a try.

Maybe it is over that way but I probably haven't seen an FBS in the Greater Detroit/Flint area for a good 5 months. I may have to actuallt check Meijers as it seems like people arent waiting until the 4th.

As for limited releases at Meijers I got a 6 pack of Strawberry Shorts cake from one this year and I even saw a tag on their shelf for, of all things, BCBS. Now obviously it was long gone but just the fact that they had that tag meaning they must have had it was a bit of a surprise.

 

Which Meijer's is this, mine is just kind of average on the beer front, standard MI stuff, I never see a limited release of anything.

 

Its the one in Auburn Hills, they can be hit or miss. Some have a fair to decent selection some not so much. Like the Oxford one for example doesn't really have much of anything except basic shelf stuff from founders, bells and shorts. About what you would find in your average grocery store.

Have not seen or heard anything about this years dropping in the Kalamazoo area yet.
