I just picked up a new 25' copper wort chiller last weekend. I plan on using it in my next brew but I want to make sure I get all of the factory oil and contamination off of it. The other night I boiled it for 20 minutes in vinegar water, then rinsed it off and towel dried it. Is this going to be enough to clean the factory grime off of it? I would to hate to introduce oily residue into my next batch! Any other thoughts or ideas on this would be helpful!

I would also give it a good non abrasive scrub with warm soapy water just to be safe. I am not sure how effectively vinegar removes machine oil.

I scrubbed mine with dish soap and warm watter then gave it a warm soak in PBW. No issues that I could see with it in my first batch.
